Zopa has ambitious plans for its partnership business. Already working with household names like John Lewis and Octopus Energy, Zopa is looking for a Senior Partnership to Manager help take us to the next level.
This Senior Partnerships Manager role is central to our growth strategy here at Zopa and over the next 12 months our goal is to find and deliver several new large partnerships in the loans, car finance and credit card markets. Working with the Partnerships Director, you’ll have a fundamental role in finding new prospective partners and shaping pitches, and once we have secured the new partner, delivering and launching the new partnership.
In addition, we have recently won new opportunities and this role will involve scoping, delivering and launching the new partnerships working with stakeholder from across Zopa as well as the partners.

A day in the life:

  • Develop the partnership pipeline for loans, cards and car finance, originating new opportunities using a range of prospecting tools, including LinkedIn, your own network, events etc.
  • Complete high level qualification of leads to ensure they meet our criteria, including the commercial size of the opportunity.
  • Run weekly sales meetings to track and monitor pipeline status and key priorities for the team.
  • Book and lead partnership meetings presenting Zopa’s key USPs and shaping the partnership opportunity.
  • Lead in the development of compelling partnership pitches, working closely with design and marketing colleagues.
  • Once new partnerships have been secured lead the contractual and commercial negotiations.
  • Responsible for defining the scope of the partnership with the partner, as well as a range of stakeholders from across Zopa including the originations product teams, risk and compliance, design, marketing, operations, data analytics, credit decisioning and more.
  • Lead the delivery of new partnership relationships, shaping the project plan, defining roles and responsibilities and monitoring progress.
  • Complete all change governance required for delivering new partnerships.
  • Once the partner is launched, responsible for the ongoing management of the relationship, focussing on growing the partnership working closely with the respective product team.

About you:

  • You have launched partnerships that have delivered strong customer and commercial results.
  • You can adapt your communication style and build relationships quickly and get buy in.
  • You’re tenacious, you don’t give up and keeps your eye on the prize.
  • You’re used to working in fast paced environments, rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in.
  • Your customer orientated – you know that for partnerships to be successful they need to meet a genuine customer need.
