Our Story
Hello there. We’re Zopa.
We started our journey back in 2005, building the first ever peer-to-peer lending company. Fast forward to 2020 and we launched Zopa Bank. A bank that listens to what our customers don’t like about finance and does the opposite. We’re redefining what it feels like to work in finance. Our vision for a new era of banking puts people front and centre — we’ve built a business that empowers everyone to aim high, every day, to move finance forward. Find out more about our fantastic offerings at Zopa.com!
We’re incredibly proud of our achievements and none of it would be possible without the amazing team here. It’s not just industry awards we’re winning, we’ve also been named in the top three UK’s Most Loved Workplaces.
If you embrace unconventional challenges, are unafraid to think differently and are driven to make an outsized impact, you’ll thrive here at Zopa, so join us, and make it count.
At Zopa, analysts are the people that inspire ideas and strategies to drive our business forward and make our products better for customers. They’re a rare mix of creative problem solvers who are analytical by nature and confident in using data to drive key business decisions.
Our new Senior Product Analyst opportunity is part of our Savings Tribe responsible for Zopa’s flagship Smart Saver app and our Award-winning Fixed Term Savings Products. The Savings squad owns our savings products and collaborates with many teams across the business whose central services are used by savings (e.g., Operations, Payments, Treasury).
With over £3bn of savings and large growth predicted over the next few years we need a data driven Senior Product Analyst to generate insight and review opportunities for growing our products, identify areas we can streamline our processes and advise internal teams relying on our data.
With the team focusing on two of Zopa’s key growth initiatives this year there is huge opportunity for real career defining impact!

A day in the life:

  • Generating key insight from data and using this insight to drive decision making – this will be across product development, pricing, risk, and management reporting
  • Modelling the impact of potential and recently launched features on customer satisfaction and financial outcomes
  • Problem solving together with software engineers, product designers and our operational teams to build the best possible customer experiences
  • Working on growth initiatives, monitoring key metrics, identifying improvement opportunities and proposing solutions
  • Working on technical initiatives, building an understanding of the system and key integrations with other teams
  • Reviewing our backlog of initiatives to ensure we’re prioritising our time on the work that can drive the most customer and business value
  • Assisting our internal users with common queries and suggesting new ways to optimise our internal processes to enhance our customer experience

About you:

  • Approximately 4 years of experience in a Data Analyst position in a fast paced environment (e.g. start-up, banking, consulting) - Savings knowledge and experience highly advantageous but not essential
  • You're analytical by nature with excellent attention for detail
  • You're a natural at turning data into insight that drives key decision making. If you’ve got previous experience using SQL or Python to analyse data, even better.
  • You can communicate your insights succinctly and influence key stakeholders across the business
  • You treat others with respect but you’re not afraid to challenge them sensitively.
  • You are empathetic. You do the right thing for customers, even if it’s the more challenging option.
  • You’re a self-starter. You know when to ask for support and you’re not shy about doing so, but you don’t wait to be told what to do.
  • You don’t define yourself narrowly. You roll up your sleeves and jump in where help is required, and you’re always looking to learn.
Flexible working? Yes please!
At Zopa we value flexible ways of working. We understand the benefits of face-to-face collaboration and the importance of a good work life balance. Our teams work in a hybrid manner from our open-plan, riverside London Bridge office and the comfort of their own homes at a frequency that suits the team and the work they do.
Not only that – you'll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year!* But no matter where you are, we’ll make sure you’ve got everything you need to thrive, both in your work and home life, from day one.
*Subject to having the right to work in the country of choice
