The team
This is an exciting opportunity to join our new Current Accounts team. We want to transform the Current Accounts space as we have already done with loans, savings, credit cards and car finance, tying together our Zopa ecosystem, with big ambitions targeting over 1m+ active customers in 3 years' time. This role will be crucial to helping us get there so there's big opportunity for some serious career defining impact.
At Zopa, quality comes first in everything we do. The ultimate aim is to provide a quality experience for our users by building solid processes, following best practice and preventing issues and problems from occurring at an early stage. Therefore we believe that being a QA Engineer is much more than just testing and trying to break code. We value both collaboration (shift left) and autonomy within our small, agile cross-functional squads. It is essential that you work closely with your team to understand the product, advocate for the customer by speaking up and challenging when you feel it is right to do so and be a true driver of Quality.
We're all about Automation and work in an Automation first environment. Some of the tech stack we currently work with includes: Java, Kotlin, Postman, RestAssured, Cypress, Appium, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka.

About you:

  • Experience in native mobile app automation, Java preferred with Appium
  • Confident with tools like Browserstack and Saucelabs
  • Broad knowledge and experience of using debugging tools
  • Experienced in Rest API testing (Postman for example)
  • Great understanding of SDLC process and experience with CI/CD tools e.g. Jenkins
  • Good knowledge of agile working practices and ceremonies, working in cross functional teams
  • Owned metrics reporting
  • Coached teams in Quality and the processes and practices
  • Be passionate about creating an unrivalled experience for Zopa’s customers

Added bonus:

  • Experience with containerisation tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience with Kafka
