With this growth has come the need to strengthen our FP&A team and we’re extremely excited about how this person will help us to perform even better. As a key member of the global finance team, your role will be to assist leadership in their decision making with insightful financial analysis. Wagestream is a fast growing, dynamic business so there are always new and interesting areas to analyse and understand.
The Team:
Your immediate team will include the head of FP&A, CFO, finance director, senior management accountant and management accountant. But you’ll also work closely with the co-founders, and other leadership team members, and will interact with every department at some point!
What will you be doing?
Your core responsibility will be to support the Head of FP&A with financial planning, budgeting, and deep financial analysis with a focus on driving business value. The role will include:
- Developing a deep understanding of Wagestream’s business across our different verticals
- Driving optimal decision making through insightful models and analytical tools & use of extensive financial and quantitative analysis.
- Support with business critical projects such as M&A and refinancing
- Producing monthly and quarterly internal reports and reviews on financial performance for Leadership
- Assisting in preparation and delivery of executive level presentations to influence decision makers
- Enhancing existing budgeting and forecasting processes
- Liaising with external stakeholders (banks, investors, advisors) to provide required MI and analysis
- Identifying processes and tools to enable us to operate more efficiently and to drive actionable insights
What experience might you have?
- CIMA/ACA qualified preferred or equivalent professional experience
- 2-3 years experience in a strategic finance role, for example as a FP&A Analyst / Manager, Financial Analyst, Finance Manager or other relevant experience such as Corporate Finance/Transaction Services. Exposure to start-up/scale-ups also desirable but not essential.
- Detail-oriented, highly analytical individual who strives for excellence and wants to be part of a great team working on an important social mission
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills: able to work across organisation & geographies, while influencing peers and senior stakeholders
- Enthusiasm to develop new skills
- Demonstrated experience in building and challenging financial models.
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills, SQL and tableau experience desirable but not essential.
Within 1 month you’ll have:
- Understand the key business metrics and identify gaps in current analysis / reporting
- Understand the financial forecasting model and process and suggest improvements
Within 3 months you’ll have:
- Established working relationships with stakeholders at our investors and banking partners and have ownership of regular reporting to these stakeholders
- Improved and have ownership of regular management information required by internal stakeholders
Salary: Dependant on experience, salaries range from £60,000 80,000 + bonus & equity
