You’d be joining a team of over 200 passionate, ambitious people, growing in Europe and the US, building a category-leading fintech product and all united by that same mission.
The Opportunity:
Wagestream was born in London in 2018 and shortly therefore the Wagestream USA office was launched in 2020. The US market has experienced a phenomenal growth rate to date. Historically, the GTM team has been primarily focused on accelerating growth through our key partnerships. As we head into 2025, we are shifting focus to building more direct enterprise relationships and are seeking to hire a marketing leader to build our brand awareness with US buyers. For the right individual, there isn’t a better job in marketing. You get to positively impact the financial health of millions of US frontline workers and make a difference to their lives
We’re looking for someone who will be initially very hands-on with a view to quickly building out a team. You’ll be working closely with the CEO, COO, Global Head of Brand and US CCO to develop and optimize a marketing strategy. With only 15% adoption for key enterprise accounts, it’s a new market and proposition to employers, which represents the ultimate marketing opportunity and challenge for a creative and motivated B2B marketing leader.

You’ll need to thrive in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment. We’re a rapidly growing team that works closely together with sales, customer success, product, and engineering. You’ll also have the support of the Wagestream Global Marketing team. We’re looking for someone who’s naturally resourceful, tenacious and gritty! B2B Marketing experience is essential.
What will you be doing?
We have four key challenges and you’ll be leading the way in help us solve the following:
- We’re a global leader in EWA but our US brand awareness amongst B2B buyers is low
- The US market is highly competitive and you need to effectively position us above the incumbents
- Client evangelism is key to fast growth; you’ll need to drive this
- We need to present clear value propositions to US buyers and also create an engaged user base [B2B2C challenge]
What are your responsibilities?
- Telling the US who we are and why we exist - in a way that makes them sit up and listen
- Developing the country wide strategy for social media, emails, video, PR, blogs and events
- Own and drive demand through all digital channels platforms (in-house and/or agency)
- Building campaigns that generate new business, working alongside content and design to create ads and landing pages
- Reporting on performance of campaigns
- Ensuring our messaging is strong and consistent across all channels
- Identifying and iterating on repeatable marketing strategies, tactics and channels that address business pain points and convey product benefits to drive new customer acquisition
- Optimizing programs using metrics and data, such as lead volume and conversion, program pipeline, velocity in funnel metrics, opportunity conversion
- Work alongside the US CCO and sales team in developing collateral and sales enablement content
What you need: (But if you’re close… we'd still love to talk to you!)
- Experience in leading B2B marketing in a high growth technology/SAAS company
- Experience in multiple marketing disciplines across, PR, Events, Lead Generation, Channel Marketing and Brand Building
- You know how to message and storyboard a market leading brand
- Proven track record of building a world class brand; you bring creativity and passion combined with commercial pragmatism and a focus on results
- Deep understanding of how to engage a B2B buyer at large enterprises
- Creative and strategic marketing brain
- You’re decisive; you take the lead, make things happen and aren’t afraid to take risks
- Ability to build relationships with partners and media through creative PR strategies
- A great leader that others follow and learn from
Can-be-learnt: We'll teach you all about our financial wellbeing products and services
Working Policy: Remote first within the eastern time zone with some travel to the Washington, D.C. office. Over time, in-office to the NYC office.
Compensation: Dependant on experience you can expect $200k - $250k OTE
