About the role

As PR & Communications Manager at Tandem, you’ll define and lead our global communications strategy - shaping how Tandem is understood by clinicians, partners, regulators and policymakers, media, employees, and investors. You’ll translate complex clinical, business, and regulatory topics (including responsible AI) into clear narratives that build trust, momentum, and long-term influence.

This is a strategic role with hands-on execution where you’ll be a trusted partner to the C-suite whilst also rolling up your sleeves to deliver high-quality communications programs day-to-day.


What you will do

  • Own Tandem’s comms strategy across corporate, product, brand, and external communications

  • Build a global–local model with consistent messaging and market-relevant activation (agencies/freelancers)

  • Develop core narratives and stakeholder messaging aligned to business goals and regulatory context

  • Lead growth-supporting comms programs in tight partnership with Marketing

  • Run media relations: proactive/reactive press, journalist relationships, and executive positioning

  • Build a C-suite thought leadership program to strengthen Tandem’s authority in Europe

  • Lead issues and crisis communications; work closely with Legal/Compliance for accuracy and responsibility

  • Plan and deliver strategic events and speaker opportunities

  • Set and report on KPIs (share of voice, earned quality, sentiment, engagement, social, and alignment to CAC/LTV/NPS)

What You Bring

  • Experience leading comms in a high-growth, complex, or regulated environment

  • Strong storytelling and messaging skills—clear, credible, and audience-aware

  • Confidence working with senior leaders and representing the company externally

  • Media relations and reputation management experience, including handling sensitive topics

  • Operational mindset: you execute quickly, prioritize well, and hold a high quality bar

  • Comfort with measurement and using insight to improve outcomes

  • Passion for innovating around creative ways to deliver key messages through media channels

Bonus Points

  • Healthcare, policy/regulatory, or AI communications experience

  • Experience scaling comms across multiple markets with agency support

  • Track record building executive thought leadership and high-impact events
