Job Description
What’s you day to day going to look like?
The Marketing Operations Director role is centered on marketing technology strategies, system and web implementation and optimization, and data analysis to gauge campaign effectiveness and provide actionable insights for strategy enhancement. We seek a candidate with proficiency in marketing technologies, data analysis, problem-solving, and effective communication.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Analyze prior marketing campaign effectiveness, help develop an efficient media mix, and improve our acquisition model.
Continuously test and optimize website elements, including landing pages and forms.
Develop and execute marketing technology strategies, oversee implementation, and optimization of marketing systems.
Help develop lead generation plans with targets, measures, and objectives.
Own the measurement and reporting of our marketing stack, including web analytics, ad platforms, and CRM data.
Knowledge of marketing technologies: experience working with marketing technology stacks, such as analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot), and CRM (e.g., Salesforce)
Understanding of data and analytics: ability to analyze and interpret data, design and implement tracking and attribution models, and provide insights to optimize marketing campaigns.
Strong communication skills: The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project management skills: The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively is critical in marketing engineering
Qualifications
Skills to succeed in the role:
- Bachelor’s degree, Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in marketing analytics, business analytics, statistics, or a related field.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Strong Excel or Google Spreadsheets skills and knowledge.
- Strong HTML, CSS & CMS (WordPress) knowledge is required
- Customer-centric approach. You understand segmentation, personas, and their challenges.
- Advanced skills in web analytics and data visualization.
- You are comfortable in the quantitative and qualitative worlds.
- Expertise in data analysis, reporting, and confidence in articulating key actionable insights.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong influencing and facilitation skills required – must be comfortable stepping into areas where role clarity may be lacking and take charge and communicate the overall objective.
- Desire to work in a fast-growing SaaS company.
Bonus points:
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R for data analysis and reporting.
- SQL, RegEX, JavaScript, Google Cloud, Python, R, JSON.
