Rayon’s mission

Rayon is building the next generation of architectural design software — collaborative by default, simpler to use, smarter, and beautifully crafted.
The way we design buildings and spaces shapes everyday life. Climate change, affordable housing, sustainable urbanization, and the future of work all depend on a built environment that’s better designed and more efficient.
Yet while architecture is inherently collaborative, most tools used today weren’t built for collaboration or shared knowledge. They’re complex, costly, and rooted in a pre-internet, desktop-first way of working.
Rayon is creating a browser-based, real-time, multiplayer floor plan editor to democratize architectural design and help teams deliver better, more efficient spaces — from concept through execution.

Who are we?

We are a small team of people passionate about web technology, architecture and the built environment. First and foremost, we love building amazing tools for creators.
Rayon was co-founded in October 2021 by Bastien Dolla, an engineer (Polytechnique & Ponts et Chaussées) with 15 years of experience in tech and real estate, and Stanislas Chaillou, an engineer and an architect (EPFL & Harvard) with a background in ML research applied to architecture. Both have published research papers on AI algorithms applied to architectural design (for example here, here and here) and have already been co-founder or early employees of previous high growth startups at the crossroads of tech and real estate (habx.com, spacemakerai.com).
Rayon is backed by world-class Investors (Seedcamp, 20VC, Foundamental, Kima) and amazing business Angels such as Ralph Gootee, co-founder of plangrid (acq. by Autodesk), Joe Thomas co-founder and CEO of Loom , Thibaud Elziere founder of eFounders, Nicolas Steegmann co-founder of Stupeflix, Riggs Kubiak founder of Honest buildings (acq. Procore), Jonathan Widawski founder & CEO of Maze.
Rayon is a French company based in Paris, operating across Europe, and selling its offering worldwide. We are open to remote positions in timezones close to the European Central Time. You would be one of the first employees of the company.

What you will be doing

As a Customer Success & Community Manager, you will:
Run product demonstrations and onboarding for prospects and customers, tailoring the narrative to their use case and helping them reach value fast.
Collect, structure, and synthesize customer feedback (calls, support tickets, community discussions) into clear insights, priorities, and recurring themes.
Translate real user needs into actionable product input: well-written issues, workflows, edge cases, and acceptance criteria that the team can ship against.
Build and maintain Rayon's support & enablement ecosystem: tutorials, documentation, templates, in-app guidance, and lightweight tools that reduce support load and support upsell.
Own the support experience end-to-end: triage, investigation, follow-up, and closing the loop with customers (and internally with product/engineering).
Nurture and grow the online community (events, posts, discussions, champions program), turning users into advocates and creating a pipeline of engaged accounts.
Track outcomes with simple metrics and KPIs (activation, retention signals, support volume/time-to-resolution, community engagement), and use them to improve onboarding and support content.
Partner closely with product and engineering to ensure smooth delivery, clear release notes, and high-quality documentation for every shipped feature.
Contribute to Rayon's product direction by bringing customer voice into planning, helping prioritize what matters most, and spotting opportunities for expansion/upsell.

What are we looking for?

4+ years of experience in technical support.
Strong ability to diagnose technical issues quickly and deliver support that is clear, concise, and effective.
Deep, hands-on familiarity with architecture/design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit); strong knowledge of Rayon is a plus.
Proven experience collecting and structuring customer feedback (support threads, interviews, surveys) and translating it into actionable product insights.
Track record building a support and enablement ecosystem: documentation, tutorials, onboarding flows, templates, FAQ/help center, and lightweight tools that reduce support volume and support upsell.
Comfortable partnering with Product and Engineering using Linear/Jira/GitHub, and working in an Agile (or similar) iterative environment.
High bar for ownership, rigor, and autonomy — you prioritize well, follow through, and communicate proactively.
Strong learning mindset — you enjoy becoming a product expert and continuously improving how users reach value.
Enjoy building and nurturing an online community (Discord/Slack/LinkedIn), enabling peer-to-peer help and keeping a healthy pipeline of engaged users.

If we think that it can be a match, we’ll do a first 30-min call to get to know each other
We’ll then do a more in-depth interview, where we can explore some of your personal projects, and go through some design case-study together. This will be the opportunity for you to learn more about Rayon’s design philosophy.
A longer call (if possible IRL) with both co-founders to talk about vision and company culture.
