We help companies get compensation right.

What we get paid at work has a massive impact on our lives, and it’s one of the biggest factors in hiring and retaining talent - and yet so many companies struggle to get it right. They simply have no choice but to rely on poor data and unsophisticated tools for their pay decisions. That’s why we created Ravio.

We help many of the world’s most innovative and ambitious companies build stronger teams and reach their goals through better compensation. Our real-time data platform brings compensation into the modern age with clarity and transparency.

We’re passionate about ensuring everyone is paid what they deserve, no matter their background or circumstances. We believe that when compensation is done right, everyone wins.

Ravio is growing fast, which means you can too. Joining a startup in the early days and scaling it into a global product is one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences a career can offer. If that sounds exciting to you, you’re in the right place.

The Role

As the Benchmarking and Insights Manager at Ravio, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how compensation data is turned into actionable insights for Ravio customers and the wider market. This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a passion for compensation to become an authoritative voice within the wider market on qualitative and quantitative compensation trends, as well as playing a key role in shaping Ravio’s in-product data and insights.

The responsibilities of this role can be split into two main components: (1) Leverage Ravio’s vast proprietary dataset, qualitative customer insights, and external macro data to generate compelling, actionable narratives for a wide range of audiences. (2) Support the development of best-in-class benchmarking and QA methodologies that underpin all of Ravio’s compensation products and reports, ensuring they remain industry-leading in both accuracy and relevance.

Working at the intersection of data and people strategy, you’ll develop a deep understanding of customer needs and emerging market trends to generate timely, high-impact insights. You will partner with Content and Comms to translate complex datasets into compelling, actionable narratives that are distributed across multiple channels to customers, prospects, and the wider market. While most of the insights will be distributed in written form, you should also be comfortable representing Ravio by hosting/speaking at virtual and in-person events. You will also collaborate closely with our Benchmarking Operations, Data Science, and Product teams to refine our benchmarking methodologies and design quality assurance frameworks and in-app analytics experiences.

This role is ideal for a highly analytical, seasoned compensation professional who combines technical fluency with commercial awareness and strategic thinking. Your expertise will directly influence Ravio’s mission to redefine how companies make pay decisions through real-time, high-quality compensation intelligence.

What You’ll do

  • Inform Ravio’s benchmarking methodologies, feeding directly into all of our benchmarking products

  • Design Ravio’s benchmarking QA processes, working closely with our Data Science team

  • Analyse proprietary reward datasets, customer feedback, and external market data to surface key trends and insights (e.g. pay practices, the evolution of equity compensation, links between pay, performance and retention, etc)

  • Contextualise compensation trends with wider macroeconomic developments in different parts of the world

  • Translate complex datasets into informative and actionable outputs for internal and external audiences

  • Work closely with content and comms teams to create data-led articles, reports, and presentations that tell the story behind the numbers

  • Regularly translate complex datasets into informative and actionable outputs for internal and external audiences

  • Work with our Product and Engineering teams to inform the design and evolution of Ravio’s in-app insights and analytics features

You’ll be a good fit for this role if you have;

  • Extensive experience with compensation data & HRIS data

  • Advanced analytical skills (Excel; SQL and/or R/Python are nice-to-haves)

  • Strong statistical understanding (e.g. percentiles, regression, normalization)

  • Ideally advanced data visualisation skills (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)

  • Collaborative attitude capable of managing a wide range of internal stakeholders, ideally with experience working cross-functionally with Data Science, Marketing, and Product teams

  • Strong communication skills. You’ll be able to take complicated data analysis and turn it into compelling stories for customers

This role will be ideal for a Compensation Leader who is keen to apply their subject matter expertise to help shape a product that is redefining an entire industry.

What you’ll get:

  • The opportunity to be part of the early team of a category-defining company backed by a strong roster of world-class investors

  • An inclusive work environment characterised by a high degree of trust, respect and integrity

  • The ability to work closely with and learn from the company’s founders as well as a highly ambitious team of smart, mission-driven individuals

  • A high degree of autonomy and the opportunity for fast-tracked professional growth

  • While we’re very focused at work, we also know how to have fun in the process and don’t take ourselves too seriously

  • Competitive compensation (and we know what we’re talking about!) with significant upside potential for high performance. And company equity, of course.

  • An amazing benefits package for everyone, regardless of their role or level, including generous paid time off allowances as well as enhanced parental leave benefits

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: £65,000 - £95,000

  • Company ownership (everyone gets a meaningful equity stake in Ravio)

  • 37 days paid time off (25 days holiday + 4 wellness day + 8 public holidays)

  • Up to 6% pension matching scheme

  • £60 a month wellness allowance (Invest in your physical wellbeing, on us)

  • Private healthcare cover with AXA

  • Personal travel insurance - just in case
