About Nivoda

Nivoda is a global B2B diamond and gemstone marketplace that connects jewelry retailers with competitive, high-quality suppliers. With operations spanning multiple regions, Nivoda enables businesses to grow profitably by minimizing inventory risks and optimizing the supply chain. Our commitment to excellence, transparency, and innovation drives every part of our business — from supplier relationships to customer success.

About the Role

As a Supplier Business Development Manager, you’ll play a critical role in growing and managing our supplier base for our B2B diamond marketplace. This is a customer-facing, relationship-led role for a driven, strategic professional who excels in building trusted supplier partnerships both in person and remotely, optimizing supplier performance, and aligning their products with market demand.

You’ll act as a co-pilot and primary point of contact for suppliers - working closely with them from onboarding through sustained success. A key part of this role involves regular face-to-face meetings with existing and prospective suppliers, representing Nivoda locally and ensuring suppliers feel supported, informed, and set up to succeed. Your work will ensure our platform offers the best quality, selection, and value for buyers, creating a dynamic and profitable environment for both suppliers and our business.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll identify, onboard, and support high-potential suppliers while maximizing their sales growth and ensuring quality and inventory alignment with customer demand. You will act as both a consultant and a coach, guiding suppliers to optimize their product offerings, pricing, and availability. Through hands-on relationship management and on-the-ground presence in NYC, your insights and proactive support will be instrumental in helping suppliers grow on our platform and creating a seamless experience for buyers.

Responsibilities

Supplier Acquisition and Onboarding:

  • Identify and onboard high-quality suppliers that align with category standards.

  • Conduct in-person and virtual meetings to communicate marketplace value propositions clearly and drive strong engagement with our platform.

Account Management and Supplier Support:

  • Build deep, consultative relationships with suppliers and serve as their day-to-day point of contact for growth, performance, and issue resolution.

  • Proactively support supplier needs, escalating and coordinating internally with tech, operations, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless experience.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Use data to assess supplier performance, identify growth opportunities, and provide actionable feedback on selection, pricing, availability, and quality metrics.

Sales Enablement and Revenue Growth:

  • Drive suppliers to meet revenue targets by optimizing product assortment, pricing strategies, and inventory levels. Promote express stock and fast-delivery initiatives to improve conversion and buyer satisfaction.

Quality and Compliance Oversight:

  • Work closely with suppliers to maintain high-quality standards, proactively reducing return rates and customer complaints through ongoing quality monitoring and guidance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with category management, product, operations, and product marketing teams to align on category objectives, supplier priorities, and buyer engagement initiatives.

Supplier Training and Development:

  • Support the development and delivery of training resources to help suppliers adopt best practices for product listing optimization, quality control, and performance improvement.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • 4-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within B2B marketplaces, wholesale, or e-commerce

  • Strong relationship builder with the confidence and credibility to manage senior supplier stakeholders in person

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into clear commercial actions

  • Customer-centric and quality-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership for supplier outcomes

  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and comfort operating autonomously in a field-based role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B marketplaces, luxury goods, jewelry, or tech-enabled marketplaces

  • Familiarity with supply chain, wholesale, or inventory-led businesses

  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through partner or supplier relationships

If you’re excited by a role that combines commercial impact, relationship ownership, and on-the-ground supplier engagement, we’d love to hear from you. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys being the trusted local partner suppliers rely on to grow their business.
