Why This Role Matters
As a two-sided marketplace, our credibility relies on moving money quickly, accurately, and transparently. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily cash positioning and execution across global operating accounts, ensuring customer payments are seamless and reliable. You will drive process automation, enabling real-time insights and smooth month-end closes, which are critical to our marketplace’s success.
What You'll Do
Cash Forecasting & Positioning
Build and manage short-term (D0–D30) and medium-term (13-week) liquidity forecasts by currency and entity.
Balance and allocate cash daily across global operational accounts to meet funding needs, minimize idle balances, and reduce FX leakage.
Execute intercompany funding, sweeps, and short-term investments in line with policy.
Banking Operations & Controls
Oversee daily cash pools, payment cutoffs, and payment runs (inflows, outflows, refunds, chargebacks).
Manage bank connectivity and file flows (API, SFTP, host-to-host) using industry formats (ISO 20022, MT940/942, CAMT).
Maintain signatories, account entitlements, limits, and treasury SOX/ICFR controls.
Payments Issue Resolution (Customer Centric)
Assist Financial Operations in triaging and investigating customer payment inquiries (e.g., missing/late payouts, returns, rejects).
Liaise with banks and payment partners to resolve exceptions and communicate updates to CX and Financial Operations teams.
Automation & Reconciliation
Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to automate payment file generation, ingestion, and status tracking.
Support the rollout of auto-reconciliation for bank statements to GL (daily) and month-end close (T+1).
Develop dashboards that provide marketplace cash flow and payout KPIs to internal teams.
Risk, Compliance & Local Rails
Adhere to treasury and payments policies; coordinate with Legal and Compliance on RBI/FEMA, UPI/IMPS/NEFT, and cross-border flows.
Support the onboarding of new banks, currencies, and payment corridors.
What You'll Need
5–8 years of experience in corporate treasury or payments operations at a marketplace, fintech, PSP, or bank, with both India and global exposure.
Expertise in cash forecasting, bank account management, and reconciliation across multi-currency environments.
Hands-on experience with bank portals and connectivity (API/H2H/SFTP), payment formats (ISO 20022, MT, CAMT), and payment rails (UPI/IMPS/NEFT, SWIFT).
Working knowledge of ERPs/TMS (e.g., NetSuite) and reconciliation tools, or equivalent in-house systems.
Strong data fluency; comfortable analyzing cash flow and P&L.
A process-oriented mindset with the ability to map controls, write SOPs, and drive automation with Product and Engineering.
Excellent written communication skills for customer-facing investigations.
