About the Role
The People Operations team at Nivoda is on a mission to turn our startup into a world class operation. We have grown to 550 people very quickly, growing from Seed to Series C in two years. The team has made a good start on building the infrastructure to support the company, but we know we have a lot to do to make ourselves truly seamless.
We are seeking a People Operations Executive based in Mumbai to partner closely with our Lead, People Operations in designing, implementing, and running our core HR systems and processes globally. You will be instrumental in scaling our People Operations function—from system configuration and data integrity to stakeholder training and continuous improvement—across platforms like HiBob, Ledgy, CultureAmp, and Gusto.
In this role, you’ll combine operational rigor with deep curiosity about Nivoda as a business, to ensure our HR technology stack runs smoothly, data is accurate, and insights drive better decision-making.
What You’ll Do
System Implementation & Management:
Support the Lead, People Operations in configuring and maintaining systems like HiBob (HRIS), Ledgy (equity management), or CultureAmp (employee engagement).
Ensure data integrity, perform regular audits, and troubleshoot system issues.
Lead system roll-outs, upgrades, and integrations with other tools (e.g., Slack, ATS, finance systems).
Process Design & Optimization:
Design, document, and optimize People Operations workflows (onboarding/offboarding, performance cycles, engagement surveys).
Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, and training materials for people managers and employees.
Drive continuous improvement by collecting feedback, analyzing usage metrics, and prioritizing enhancements.
Stakeholder Enablement & Training:
Partner with People Business Partners and department heads to onboard new HR tools and processes.
Support Q&A sessions and “office hours”as needed to ensure adoption and proficiency.
Act as a go-to resource for system-related queries and best practices.
Project Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Finance, Legal, IT, and external vendors to support equity plan administration, benefits renewals, and system integrations.
Assist on special People Ops projects (e.g., policy roll-outs, global pulse surveys, reward programs).
What We’re Looking For
2-4 years of experience in People Operations, HRIS administration, or People Technology roles—ideally in a fast-growing startup or global organization.
Hands-on expertise with at least two of the following platforms: HiBob, BambooHR, Workday, or similar; plus familiarity with equity platforms (Ledgy, Carta), engagement tools (CultureAmp, Glint), and/or payroll systems (Gusto, ADP).
Strong process-orientation and project management skills, with a track record of designing and scaling HR systems and workflows.
Excellent analytical skills: proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, comfortable building dashboards and interpreting HR metrics.
Strong communication and stakeholder management—able to translate technical concepts into clear guidance for non-technical audiences.
Self-starter mindset: thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and delivers quality outcomes with limited supervision.
Basic knowledge of global and local Indian compliance.
Nice to Have
Experience with API-based integrations and data migrations across HR tools.
Certification in HRIS or People Analytics (e.g., HRCI PHR, SHRM-CP, People Analytics courses).
Prior experience in Series B–D startups or rapidly scaling technology businesses.
