Executive Assistant to the CEO
Monumental
Administration
Amsterdam, Netherlands · North Holland, Netherlands
Posted on Apr 12, 2026
Monumental is automating on-site construction with cutting-edge robotics and software. Our mission is to redefine construction through software and robots. We aim for a future where beautiful, bespoke buildings are built within a single day with minimal labor.
We’re a growing team (about 100 team members) of mostly engineers and technicians, coming from companies like Palantir, Qualcomm, Dyson, Shopify, Tesla, Meta and 1X. It’s still the early days of building the company, and this is a unique opportunity to be an early employee in a high-growth, high-ambition startup environment. From Day 1, you’ll be able to work with an experienced founding team backed by top-tier investors.
You can read more on why we believe you should spend your time working on construction, and learn more about our vision and company. You might also enjoy seeing this video by Andreas Klinger of what our office environment looks like.
About You And This Role
You'll be Salar's (our CEO) force-multiplier and the operational glue of our Amsterdam HQ. That means owning his time, inbox, and travel, but also being the person who quietly figures out the hard things before he even has to ask. Whether that's untangling a visa issue the night before a trip, handling a sensitive email when he's unreachable, or chasing down an answer on a tax question before he even has to ask.
On top of that, you'll coordinate recruiting logistics as Salar is involved in every hire, and there's a real path to taking on more office ops responsibility over time, including managing our existing office team.
This is not a stepping stone to a strategy role. It's a role for someone who takes real pride in flawless execution, and who finds the breadth of it genuinely energising.
What You Might Be Working On
Joining Monumental means being at the forefront of a movement aimed at making significant strides in the construction industry. Here, your work has the potential to impact not just the company but the future of how we build. If you're driven by innovation, eager to tackle complex challenges, and ready to make a tangible difference, we want to hear from you.
For open applications (where you don’t see an exact role match), please reach out to us at: iwanttojoin@monumental.co - share with us the most interesting or challenging project you’ve worked on, along with your CV or portfolio.
If you don’t meet all the qualifications here but are excited about Monumental and feel you’d still be able to help us solve difficult problems, do get in touch. We welcome generalists who focus on outcomes and are eager to learn on the job.

What You Might Be Working On
- Calendar and inbox. You own Salar's schedule and email. Nothing gets missed, nothing requires him to chase.
- Travel. End-to-end logistics, including the kind of proactive problem-solving that turns a chaotic travel day into a smooth one.
- Recruiting coordination. Salar is involved in every hire. You'll schedule interviews, coordinate candidate communications, and keep the funnel moving fast.
- Follow-through. Track action items, chase open threads, make sure commitments don't slip.
- Office operations. As you grow into the role, you'll take on more responsibility for how our HQ runs, including eventually managing our office team.
- Admin. VAT, receipts, invoices, the personal stuff that needs to be done properly.
- Visitor experience. When press, investors, or partners visit, you'll coordinate the details, including at Monumental, things like arranging appropriate safety footwear for site visits.
- Whatever it takes. If something is getting in Salar's way, you remove it.
- Salar's calendar is protected and his weekly priorities are documented every Monday morning.
- Interview scheduling runs in under 48 hours.
- Office operations hum without his attention.
- You're comfortable in environments where the playbook is still being written, and you're energised rather than unsettled by that.
- You have a basic grasp of how startups work. You know the difference between a Seed and a Series B, and you're genuinely excited to be part of that journey.
- You think in terms of outcomes for the person you support. Everything you do is in service of making their time and attention more effective.
- You have a knack for keeping things (and people) on track, with high attention to detail.
- You have the innate ability to “figure things out”: you are resourceful, persistent, and able to constantly unblock yourself, even when you encounter novel problems and situations.
- You are tech-savvy. We don’t expect you to be an engineer, but you are comfortable adopting new tools quickly, and you’re aware of all the best practices in supporting a high-tech company. You already know what “two-factor authentication” is, and no one needs to tell you to enable it.
- You know how and when to over-communicate and naturally close loops. People rarely have to check in on you.
- You're discreet. You'll have access to sensitive conversations and information, and you treat that with the care it deserves.
- Comfortable with multitasking and switching contexts throughout the day. You stay calm under pressure and don't lose the details when things move fast.
- Fluent in verbal and written English & Dutch.
