The Role

Mimo Pay is the payments and financing layer sitting at the heart of what our customers do every day - and keeping it running well is mission-critical. We're looking for an Operations Associate to own the day-to-day workflows that make Pay reliable, from onboarding new customers and monitoring transactions to handling support and managing internal finance processes.

This is a broad, hands-on role. You'll work directly with customers, coordinate with our payment infrastructure partner, support the Finance team on AP/AR, and continuously look for ways to make things run better. It's not a narrow, single-function job - it's a role where you'll touch every part of the operation and build real ownership over something that matters from day one.

We're also an AI-native company, and we mean that internally too. We expect everyone on the team - including you - to actively experiment with AI tools to raise the quality of what we do and how efficiently we do it. If you're already doing this in your own work and you're excited to keep going, you'll fit right in.

This is early career or entry level job and you would join a highly dynamic and fast growing team. Do a good job and you will have an abundance of internal opportunities for more senior and more complex roles. This is a great start of a professional path for anyone motivated to do tech and scale-ups!

What You'll Do

  • Onboard new Pay customers - handling the edge cases that sit outside the automated flow, coordinating with our payment partner, and being the first point of contact when customers have onboarding questions.

  • Run payment operations and compliance monitoring, reviewing flagged transactions, providing supporting documentation to facilitate payment releases, triaging cases by complexity, and collecting identity verification details from customers when payroll payments are flagged.

  • Own customer support for Pay resolving everything from how-to questions and payment status to open banking issues and onboarding clarifications. Track support metrics, surface patterns to the product and ops teams, and contribute to making support more self-serve over time.

  • Manage Mimo's accounts payable and receivable - running payment runs, issuing customer invoices, following up on outstanding balances, and keeping AP/AR ledgers in good order in close collaboration with Finance.

What We're Looking For

Must Haves

  • 0-3 years of experience post-graduation - new grads with the right attitude are very welcome to apply.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. You're clear, prompt, and professional - including in sensitive or time-pressured conversations like payment delays or KYC requests.

  • High attention to detail and comfort with process-driven, accuracy-critical work.

  • Structured and self-organised - you hold multiple workflows in parallel without dropping things.

  • Genuinely curious about AI and already using it. You see AI as a lever for doing better work, not just faster work.

  • Fluent in English; Swedish is an advantage but not a must-have.

Strong Signals

  • Some background in finance, accounting, fintech, or financial services - through work, studies, or internships.

  • Exposure to KYC/AML or financial compliance processes.

  • Experience building AI workflows, automations, or prompts (ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier, Make, or similar).

Not a Fit If

  • You prefer a fully structured environment where the playbook is already written.

  • You see customer contact as something to minimise.

  • You're indifferent to AI - at Mimo, engaging with what these tools can do is an expectation, not a bonus.
