Backed by leading institutional investors, Mimo is now rapidly scaling. As we grow, we need someone to own our finance operations and build the foundations for a world-class finance function — one that supports our mission whilst ensuring operational resilience.
What you'll doYou'll be the owner of finance at Mimo. You'll take full responsibility for our day-to-day finance operations. You'll:
- Own the full finance cycle — payments, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and audit support
- Drive strategic finance — prepare management accounts, budgets and forecasts that inform business decisions
- Build operational resilience — streamline treasury operations, document processes, and implement improvements that scale
- Partner with leadership — work closely with our Head of Operations and Chief of Staff on scenario planning and strategic initiatives
- Bridge finance and credit — translate between traditional finance operations and credit risk, by collaborating with our Credit & Analytics Manager.
Finance experience:
- 4-6 years in finance roles including month-end close, management accounts, and financial reporting
- Strong accounting fundamentals — ideally part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA in progress) or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with payments operations, reconciliations, and cash management
- Financial audit support experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Awareness of both Swedish and UK accounting practices, or willingness to learn UK standards
Technical skills:
- Experience with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Comfortable learning new internal systems for credit and treasury operations
Personal attributes:
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong process discipline
- Self-starter who can work autonomously and take ownership
- Pragmatic problem-solver who balances speed with appropriate controls
- Strong communicator who can explain finance concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- Adaptable — comfortable shifting between detailed execution and strategic thinking
- Collaborative team player who works well across functions
Bonus:
- Prior experience in fintech, lending, or B2B credit environments
- Exposure to treasury operations or working capital management
- Experience scaling finance operations in growth-stage companies
- Process improvement or automation mindset
- Exposure to SQL or Retool
