Shift pays everyday people to record first-person footage of real-world tasks: repairs, cleaning, cooking, trade work, captured with a simple phone-mount headset. That footage becomes the dataset that trains the next generation of physical AI systems. We are scaling our B2C operator program and our B2B trade partnerships across the US.

We are looking for a builder: someone who has shipped product under real constraints, ideally as a founder or early engineer at a YC-caliber company. You will own the full technical side of growth: the funnels, the automations, the referral systems, and the internal tooling that lets a small team operate like a much larger one. You will set the technical direction for growth infrastructure, decide priorities together with leadership, and ship it yourself.

What You Will Do

• Build growth infrastructure: signup flows, referral systems, attribution and UTM tracking, lead scoring, and R&D for new go-to-market motions.
• Ship full-stack features across operator-facing and partner-facing surfaces: web app, internal tools, dashboards.
• Run A/B experiments across acquisition channels. Instrument first, optimize second.
• Build the internal tooling that multiplies the leverage of a lean ops and BD team.
• Build whatever the data says to build next. You will have real roadmap input.

Requirements

• Full-stack engineering chops on a modern JS/TS stack: React, Node, Postgres or similar.
• Founder, early-employee, or growth-engineering experience at a YC or YC-caliber startup.
• A growth-hacker mentality. You instrument before you guess, and you can point to a metric you moved.
• A strong bias toward shipping over planning. You have operated under real constraints before.
• Based in or willing to relocate to New York City.
