The next ten years of AI will not be won in software. They will be won in the physical world. In factories, hospitals, kitchens, fields, and homes. The companies that own that data will own the century.

microagi is building it. We are the data layer for physical AI.

This is not a firmware role. The hardware team needs software around the hardware. Rigs that test every unit before it ships, tools that calibrate cameras and sensors, dashboards that show the state of every device in the field, and the path that moves recorded data off a device and into the cloud.

What You Will Do

  • Build the test rigs and test software that qualify every unit before it ships.
  • Build calibration tools for cameras, IMUs, and other sensors, and the checks that confirm calibration held.
  • Build the fleet dashboard. Device health, storage, battery, firmware version, last upload.
  • Own the offload path from device to cloud, including retries, integrity checks, and throughput.
  • Work with the electronics and firmware engineers on what the hardware has to expose for any of this to work.

Requirements

  • Strong Python, and comfortable in at least one systems language.
  • Experience building tooling around physical hardware. Test, calibration, provisioning, or fleet management.
  • You are as comfortable in the lab with the devices as you are in the editor.
  • Experience moving data from devices to the cloud at scale.
  • High agency - you don't wait to be told what to do.
  • Fluent in English.
  • German is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Camera or IMU calibration.
  • Manufacturing test, including end of line test.
  • Time synchronization across sensors.
