The next ten years of AI will not be won in software. They will be won in the physical world. In factories, hospitals, kitchens, fields, and homes. The companies that own that data will own the century.
microagi is building it. We are the data layer for physical AI.
You will design the physical parts of our capture devices. Enclosures that survive a factory floor, mounts that hold a camera steady on someone who is moving all day, and every bracket and clip in between. Then you make sure they can actually be made.
What You Will Do
- Design enclosures, mounts, and mechanical parts in CAD.
- Design for manufacture across injection molding, sheet metal, and machining.
- Build prototypes, test them, and change the design when they break.
- Work with the electronics team on fit, thermal paths, and cable routing.
- Own tolerances, material choices, and the drawing package that goes out to suppliers.
- Support tooling and first article inspection with contract manufacturers.
Requirements
- Strong CAD skills in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent.
- Real design for manufacture experience, injection molding in particular.
- You have designed parts that were tooled and produced, not only printed.
- Comfortable with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, tolerance stacks, and material selection.
- Hands-on with prototyping, 3D printing, and mechanical testing.
- High agency - you don't wait to be told what to do.
- Fluent in English.
- German is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Wearable or handheld product design.
- Drop, vibration, or environmental testing.
- Experience working directly with molders and tooling vendors.
