The next ten years of AI will not be won in software. They will be won in the physical world. In factories, hospitals, kitchens, fields, and homes. The companies that own that data will own the century.
microagi is building it. We are the data layer for physical AI.
We are hiring two electronics engineers. You will design the boards inside our capture devices, choose what goes on them, write the firmware that runs on them, and get cameras and lenses working well enough that the footage is worth training on.
What You Will Do
- Design PCBs from schematic through layout, bring-up, and debug.
- Select processors, sensors, memory, and power parts against cost, size, and thermal budgets.
- Write the firmware for the boards you design.
- Integrate cameras and lenses, including sensor tuning, image quality, and optical assembly.
- Bring up new boards on the bench and work out why the first ones do not behave.
- Prepare designs for manufacture and support the handover to production.
Requirements
- Production PCB design experience, schematic and layout, including high-speed and power sections.
- Strong C or C++ firmware on bare metal or RTOS.
- Experience with camera sensors, MIPI CSI-2, and lens integration.
- Fluent with an oscilloscope, a logic analyzer, and the rest of the bench.
- You have taken a board from schematic to working hardware yourself.
- High agency - you don't wait to be told what to do.
- Fluent in English.
- German is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Altium, KiCad, or equivalent at production quality.
- Low-power design for battery-powered devices.
- Design for EMC and pre-compliance testing.
