The next ten years of AI will not be won in software. They will be won in the physical world. In factories, hospitals, kitchens, fields, and homes. The companies that own that data will own the century.
microagi is building it. We are the data layer for physical AI.
Every stage of the annotation pipeline has an owner. The space between the stages does not. That is this job. You work across the whole pipeline, fix what is broken wherever it is broken, and pick up the work that falls between two people who each assume it belongs to the other.
What You Will Do
- Work across every stage of the pipeline rather than owning one of them.
- Fix breakages wherever they surface, including in code you did not write.
- Take on the glue between stages. Interfaces, handoffs, retries, monitoring.
- Cover for stage owners when they are deep in something else.
- Improve the parts of the pipeline everyone complains about and nobody has time to fix.
Requirements
- Strong Python and the ability to read unfamiliar code quickly.
- Experience with data pipelines and the ways they fail in production.
- You are happy without a narrow specialty. The breadth is the point of this role.
- You finish things. Cross-cutting work is easy to leave half done.
- High agency - you don't wait to be told what to do.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
- Computer vision or video processing pipelines.
- Orchestration tools and distributed job systems.
- A history of being the person other engineers come to when something breaks.
