The next ten years of AI will not be won in software. They will be won in the physical world. In factories, hospitals, kitchens, fields, and homes. The companies that own that data will own the century.
MicroAGI is building it. We are the data layer for embodied AGI.
Our capture devices are the front line of the company. You will own them end to end, from sensor and PCB choices through firmware, embedded Linux, and the capture stack that runs on every device we ship.
What You Will Do
- Design and integrate sensors, motion-capture rigs, custom IoT systems, and prototype devices.
- Own firmware and embedded Linux across kernels, drivers, services, RTOS components, and OTA updates.
- Build the on-device capture pipeline: sensor I/O, synchronization, calibration, buffering, compression, and upload.
- Make devices reliable in the field through crash recovery, remote diagnostics, and fleet observability.
- Work with ML engineers to ensure hardware decisions produce high-quality training data.
- Take systems from bench prototype toward small-batch production.
- Use AI coding tools as a core part of your workflow.
Requirements
- Production embedded-systems experience, with depth in hardware or device software and fluency across the boundary.
- Strong C/C++ and experience with Rust, RTOS, or embedded Linux.
- Experience integrating cameras, IMUs, depth sensors, force sensors, or similar.
- Comfortable with PCB design and hardware debugging tools.
- Understanding of real-time systems, synchronization, and how sensor choices affect data quality.
- High agency - you don't wait to be told what to do.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
- Robotics, motion-capture, or wearable-device experience.
- Experience scaling from prototype to small-batch production.
- Open-source firmware or hardware contributions.
