Head of Sales APAC

This is a hybrid role that requires 4 days/week in our Singapore office

About Lorum

The structural conflict at the centre of correspondent banking is not technological. It is economic. Banks earn revenue from their balance sheets: they lend deposits, capture FX spreads, and hold funds as long as it is rational to do so. Clearing, the act of releasing funds quickly and predictably, competes directly with those economics. An institution designed to lend has a structural incentive to hold deposits; an institution designed to clear has an incentive to release them. When one institution does both, clearing loses. The result is unpredictable settlement, trapped capital, and a correspondent network shrinking by design.

Why Lorum

Lorum was founded on a different premise: clearing as the business, not a byproduct. The model has been operational since 2023 and grew 55x in 2025, with USD clearing now the majority of volumes alongside a growing treasury offering. We have applied for a U.S. national trust bank charter. The people we hire now will build the clearing and treasury infrastructure it unlocks.

The role

You will build and lead Lorum's sales presence across APAC, taking full ownership of the region's commercial strategy and go-to-market execution. You will lead a team of five Account Executives today, with room to grow that headcount as the region scales, across one of the world's most dynamic and fastest-growing payments markets.

Geographic scope is APAC-wide, so you won't be confined to a single market. Your team will sell into sophisticated buyers across cross-border payments, financial services, and fast-growing fintechs. In the early stages you'll personally stay close to the larger enterprise deals, but the core of the role is building and leading the team that owns all deals going forward.

APAC's commercial strategy is still coming together, so you'll have real influence over how it's shaped, rather than inheriting someone else's finished playbook. You'll report directly to Yasmin Bayat, Chief Revenue Officer, and partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product and Compliance as the region's needs surface.

This is a hands-on, builder's role for someone who's hungry, low-ego, and comfortable operating without a defined process handed to them. Lorum moves fast, and we need someone who can add value from day one, not someone who needs a long ramp-up.

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Own the APAC Account Executive team's management and performance

  • Own APAC's go-to-market strategy and team structure as the region scales

  • Coach and support the team to sell faster and more efficiently

  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product and Compliance as APAC's needs surface

  • Stay close to a small number of strategic deals early on, handing these off to the team as it grows

Success in the first 3 to 12 months

  • 3 months. You've brought urgency and structure to the AE team, and got the APAC GTM moving, with the beginnings of a clear team structure

  • 6–12 months. You've built a strong, scalable sales machine, grown the team in line with how the market performs, and APAC is consistently hitting its targets

Expect these targets to sharpen as the region's GTM takes shape. At a minimum, success means APAC consistently hitting its numbers.
