This is a hybrid role 4days/week in our London (Fitzrovia)

About Lorum

Global payments are not broken. Incentives are. Clearing has been deprioritized inside balance sheet driven institutions whose models rely on lending and interest. When liquidity takes priority over settlement, payments slow and certainty drops. The same financial institutions that distort clearing as providers are disadvantaged as users. They are forced into fragmented setups, inconsistent rails, duplicated compliance, and unpredictable timelines. Stablecoin shortcuts and treasury pooling treat symptoms at the surface, but almost no one is rebuilding the underlying infrastructure in each market.

Rebuilding clearing from the ground up

We are rebuilding clearing as its own specialist function. We act as a clearing and transaction banking partner for regulated institutions, with treasury built into the core so liquidity, settlement, and reconciliation sit in one controlled system.

Our platform unifies global and local licenses, direct central bank clearing, and domestic rails. We allow clients to open named customer accounts in every market we operate, collecting funds and paying out through a single network while retaining full ownership of their customer relationships. Market expansion becomes as simple as one correspondent relationship, not hundreds.

Why Lorum

Joining Lorum means contributing to one of the most ambitious clearing infrastructure projects in global finance. You will help shape settlement systems that perform under real regulatory standards and institutional volumes. You will build for regulated institutions that rely on precision, predictable timelines, and regulatory integrity. It is about working across currencies, markets, and supervisory frameworks to deliver reliable, final settlement.

About the role

We are hiring a Field Marketing Manager to own how Lorum shows up in the world: through industry events, our own flagship event, intimate dinners, our CEO's external programs, and the awards and industry relationships that build credibility with the financial institutions we sell to.

This is not a booth-logistics role. The work spans the largest events in banking (Money20/20, Sibos), the smallest (a ten-person dinner with George and a handful of target accounts in London or New York), and eventually an event that is entirely ours. You will work closely with the head of marketing, George, the commercial team, and external partners to translate Lorum's story into rooms where decisions get made.

Key Responsibilities

  • Industry events

    • Lead end-to-end planning and execution for Lorum's presence at major events: Money20/20 Europe, Sibos, Money20/20 USA, and others we add

    • Own booth strategy, sponsorship negotiation, agency and vendor management, lead capture infrastructure, and on-site execution

    • Ensure every event produces reusable content by default, with a clear handoff to our content lead and brand designer

    • Build the 2027 events calendar with commercial input, and own the events budget end to end

    The Lorum Summit

    • Build Lorum's own flagship event: an invitation-only gathering for the institutions, platforms, and operators shaping clearing and custody

    • Own the concept, format, venue, agenda, speaker lineup, and production partners

    • Start focused and earn the right to grow: year one might be 60 people in one city, done exceptionally well

    Owned events and executive dinners

    • Build "Evening with Lorum" into a repeatable executive dinner series across London, New York, Singapore, and other priority account clusters

    • Design and run smaller-format activations tied to commercial priorities: roundtables, customer dinners, partner co-marketing events, and virtual roundtables or webinars.

    • Manage guest lists in partnership with commercial, including invitations, RSVP workflows, on-the-night experience, and post-event follow-up motion

    George's external program and podcast

    • Coordinate speaking opportunities, panel invitations, analyst briefings, press lunches, and fireside chats

    • Prepare briefing docs, and ensure consistent positioning across every appearance

    • Coordinate George's podcast: source and book guests, produce briefing docs and recording schedules, manage show notes and distribution, and coordinate repurposing with the content team

    Awards and industry credibility

    • Own Lorum's awards calendar across Banking Tech, FStech, Payments Awards, and other relevant programs: write submissions, manage deadlines, and coordinate internal sign-off

    • Manage Lorum's memberships and presence in relevant industry associations and working groups

  • A track record of running events end-to-end: sponsorship negotiation, agency management, on-site logistics, and post-event follow-up

  • Strong written communication. You will draft invitations, briefing docs, podcast outreach, and award submissions
