Our next UX Designer asks questions, understands nuance, and challenges conventional wisdom. You use a customer-first approach and utilize inclusive and accessible practices. At UbiSim, our mission is to revolutionize the way nurses are trained using virtual reality technology. This position is fully remote or hybrid and requires a candidate based in Spain who is interested in virtual reality technology and has a passion for delivering impactful solutions. This role is a 12-15 month fixed contract.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with your team to identify and prioritize user needs and product opportunities

• Discovering customer needs and balancing those with business objectives

• Planning and co-leading research in collaboration with your Product Management partner

• Defining the intended experiences (thoughts, emotions, actions) for users as they interact with the platform and simulations.

• Creating web and VR solution concepts, flows, wireframes, designs, and prototypes including defining their Information Architecture, Interactions, and Visual Design

• Iterating solutions through critique and usability testing

• Collaborating with Engineering partners to ensure that what is built and delivered aligns to the designed solution and desired outcomes

• Working with others to ensure we’re establishing clear design patterns and cohesive end-to-end experiences.

• Helping the team reflect and improve on how they work

• Contributing to the design system and helping the design team collaborate to create consistent experiences across the platform

Experience and Competencies:

• 5+ years of user experience design for software or other complex UI experiences

• Experience designing for VR environments

• Skilled in defining and articulating experiences through artifacts like conceptual models, narratives, flows, and experience maps

• Expertise in human-centered design and research practices

• Strong interaction and interface design skills

• Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design considerations and best practices

• An analytical approach to evaluating and iterating on new solutions and features

• Proven ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers

• Strong interest in the learning, and in improving how customers and users interact with our platform
