The Role

As VP Commercial for B2B Payments, you will lead and scale our commercial efforts for our new payments and credit solution. You will be responsible for delivering against our revenue targets by signing up customers yourself and working with a small but growing commercial team. You will be involved with all aspects of customer outreach and managing complex and often long sales cycles all the way to successful implementation, launch and driving repeat volumes. You will have the chance to build out the team sequentially as we gain success in the market.

You will work closely with other teams in the business (e.g. Product, Risk, Implementation) to ensure we continue to develop and improve our Embedded Finance offering while also staying up to date with the competitive landscape and wider economic and market trends.

We are looking for an individual who has strong experience launching and growing products with complex sales cycles. The person should be a natural leader who enjoys a high performing, high energy environment of consistently delivering targets while continuing to grow, improve and scale the team.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute on the go-to-market commercial strategy, and develop a deep understanding of our target customers and new markets
  • Build a commercial engine which adds prospects to the top of the funnel and converts the right customers in an efficient way working with our implementation and marketing teams. Maintain end-to-end management of the sales funnel, ensuring KPIs are delivered relating to client proposal submissions, risk/compliance approvals and customer acceptances while always striving to improve our conversion rates
  • Build trusted relationships at all seniority levels of prospective clients; from strategic C-level to operational stakeholders
  • Work closely with Marketing to support the generation and execution of campaigns to help scale the top of the funnel, conversion and share of wallet
  • Work with Account Management teams to identify projects that help us reach our goals of driving retention, improving efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities for growth and working with cross-functional teams to influence roadmaps ongoing improvements in our embedded payments and credit product
  • Player / coach role who can lead and mentor more junior members of the team, driving overall target delivery
  • Create a culture of high performance through KPI tracking to ensure we deliver on Kriya Payments deployment and key client & partner SLAs
  • Set up scalable internal sales processes to ensure we can deliver against our ambitious goals and continuously improve processes to ensure they are operating at high efficiency levels
  • Passion for fintech and the growing B2B embedded finance space
  • Experience in a Lead/Senior B2B commercial role, selling payment or software services into mid- to large- enterprise accounts
  • A strong track record of performance in a go-to-market and revenue generating role
  • A strong people manager, mentor and coach who has hired great people into the team
  • Highly organised: able to build and document clear people and process toolkit so you can drive multiple projects and put in place infrastructure for team management
  • Enthusiasm about working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, mission-led environment
