Are you passionate about driving growth and making an impact in the world of e-commerce? We are seeking a results-oriented and strategic marketing professional to join our team. As a Merchant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth and success within various industry categories. You will collaborate closely with the campaign operations team, shopping channel team, and other relevant departments to set and achieve supply-side acquisition and growth targets.
What you will do
- Be the Industry Business Partner and take ownership of one industry category. You will be responsible for setting and driving supply-side acquisition and sales targets, working in tandem with the campaign operations and shopping channel team.
- Develop and implement a category-specific assortment plan, optimizing pricing, selection, and brand diversity to maximize Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Stay up-to-date with industry and competitor movements, ensuring that Klarna remains at the forefront of market trends.
- Collaborate with platform, growth, and demand side product teams to design growth initiatives that drive consideration, engagement, and conversion for the category.
- Act as a bridge between industry and internal teams, bringing clarity, energy, and excitement to the entire team.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience in e-commerce platform operation and/or two-sided marketplace operation.
- Proven track record of defining strategies, implementing operational plans, and leading cross-functional teams through influence.
- A data-driven approach to planning and decision-making, with experience in designing experiments and utilizing data, analytics, and modeling.
- Possesses a growth mindset, a strong work ethic, and actively seeks and provides feedback to foster continuous professional growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
