C2C: Containers is in search of a Senior Software Engineer (DevOps), ready to take the next exciting leap in their career. This is your chance to join the team behind one of Klarna’s most critical products and flagship of the KEP Domain, the C2C Platform. Today, it runs 90% of Klarna’s services — a figure that continues to grow and allows us to have regular company-wide impact.
As a key member of our team, your role would be vital in reducing complexity for most of Klarna, striking a delicate balance between standardisation and giving our customers (Klarna system owners) control every step of the way.

We’re interested in individuals who maintain composure under pressure, approach tasks methodically, and communicate effectively.
If you’re someone who wishes to enhance your existing knowledge of cloud computing, infrastructure and platform products, you might be the perfect fit. You’ll have the opportunity to represent and contribute not only to our team but also to the Infrastructure Orchestration Platform group, the heart of Klarna’s cloud infrastructure, and the entire Klarna Engineering Platform domain.
How we work
In our team we operate with various workstreams, where one or two engineers work close together towards achieving a larger goal. They are responsible for the full delivery cycle, from design to implementation to release, with direction and support from our team of highly experienced engineers and the product manager. Location
We are preferably looking for candidates based in Stockholm, Berlin, or Wroclaw due to our team and group presence in these cities. Are you ready to step up to this rewarding challenge? What you will do:
- Build, improve and maintain Klarna’s managed runtime platform, built on AWS ECS (Soon ECS on Fargate)
- Collaborate in and lead workstreams from design to implementation to releaseInteract with hundreds of Klarna engineering teams
- Represent the team and the C2C platform as the KEP domain’s flagship product
- Collaborate with other teams in the group for shared Cloud/Infrastructure goals
You should have:
- Analytical and methodical approach
- Good, clear communication skills
- Calm approach when things don’t go as planned
- Solution-oriented, standardisation mindset
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing
- Desire to learn and grow
- In-depth understanding of what brings value to customers (Klarna system owners) and Klarna as a company
You might also have:
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Docker and Terraform
- Experience with AWS ECS
- Knowledge of Fargate and typescript
- Stakeholder management skills
