On our path to becoming the world’s favorite way to shop, we’re assembling an unparalleled global talent network, accelerating individual careers, and disrupting entire industries. We are on a mission to liberate humanity from all the meaningless time spent managing their purchases and finances, so they can do more of what they love. We’re in search of global talent eager to embrace our atmosphere and defy their own expectations.
We are seeking an experienced Project & Delivery Manager to join our Processes & Operations group within the Card & Banking domain. The Card & Banking domain at Klarna owns our Consumer Banking and Card offerings (eg. Klarna Bank Account, Klarna Savings Account, Klarna Card). Within this domain the Processes & Operations group ensures that the operations run smoothly, compliant, and are constantly streamlined in order to support our products’ steady growth.
The role is sitting within the groups support team, being part of the broader group leadership, and will report directly to the accountable group lead. As a Project & Delivery Manager, you will serve as a central link between the group’s teams, Product teams, and other stakeholders and represent the voice of operations and our customers, ensuring their needs are fully represented and prioritized. In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have an in-depth understanding of the highly regulated consumer banking business, as well as a fundamental understanding of operations, product and technology processes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with the group’s teams and stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and represent the needs of the operations organization, ensuring optimal utilization of development resources.
  • Independently manage key projects within the Processes & Operations Group, from scoping to execution, including writing business requirements, defining strategy, and tracking actions or risks.
  • Act as a key stakeholder on risk management to keep our regulated banking products safe and compliant. Support the teams with the analysis of incidents and to identify gaps, with the implementation of workarounds and to formulate requirements to mitigate.
  • Contribute to group strategy by understanding key metrics and KPIs, and driving initiatives that support these objectives.
  • Facilitate alignment across teams, manage conflict resolution, and lead difficult conversations with diplomacy and decisiveness.
  • Uphold high-quality delivery standards, addressing any deviations promptly and decisively.
  • Maintain and adjust project timelines to balance risk, reward, potential delay, and dependencies.
  • Advocate for the customer within the team, initiating actions to improve service quality based on customer feedback.
  • Establish transparent communication channels to keep all stakeholders informed and work closely with process management and analytics.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the group’s teams and stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and represent the needs of the operations organization, ensuring optimal utilization of development resources.
  • Independently manage key projects within the Processes & Operations Group, from scoping to execution, including writing business requirements, defining strategy, and tracking actions or risks.
  • Act as a key link of the group with its stakeholders and product teams. You will be organizing the group's priorities based on impact vs. effort, representing the group with our stakeholders to ensure continuous delivery, be part of NPAs and raise the impact of new features on operations to ensure operational readiness.

We’d love to meet someone who brings:

  • A Master’s degree or higher in business, economics or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in Project, Programme or Delivery Management within Operations in a tech company, growing startup or strategy consulting.
  • Experience in a fintech or consumer banking environment where you have made a demonstrable impact.
  • Bring an operational excellence mindset and passion for driving continuous improvement and innovation (eg. make use of AI) to find solutions that solve problems and improve our service.
  • Proven ability to identify project opportunities, take full ownership, and deliver them independently, with a strong focus on execution and delivery of project milestones.
  • Proactive problem solving skills. You are curious enough to scratch the surface to find opportunities for improvement and motivated enough to lead initiatives to drive them from start to finish.
  • Hyper organized with an ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Analytical experience. Being able to identify opportunities, quantify them and formulate requirements to guide management decisions. Advanced Spreadsheet skills [you enjoy working with Pivot tables and Vlookup], SQL & Python are a plus.
  • Superior stakeholder management skills. You’ll be actively improving processes and will need to use the skills of multiple teams along your way.
  • A can-do attitude. Some projects will be big, some may be small. You approach all initiatives with a positive attitude and are keen to get stuck in.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present ideas, updates and results to partners at various levels.
