The Financial Reporting domain at Klarna is built of multiple teams acting as start-ups that are each responsible for their unique problem space, but are working together towards a mission of delivering robust financial reporting that is scalable and enabled by technology. The domain’s responsibility starts from managing the underlying financial systems' tech and culminates in regular external and internal reporting and financial data deliverables.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team in Berlin. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including processing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and clearing of accounts - payable & receivable.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and other general ledger reconciliations
• Monitoring daily clearing of transit accounts
• Preparing journal entries as needed
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Performing other accounting duties as assigned
You should have:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English
• German language is an advantage
