Senior Product Marketing Manager

Are you a Product Marketing Manager passionate about developing and executing strategic product marketing initiatives? Do you have experience successfully launching business-to-business (B2B) products and features at scale in the Software as a Service (SaaS) industry? If so, this role may pique your interest. Let's discuss your vision if you're not afraid to commit for 8-12 months!

Who we are

We believe the future is a tech stack of integrated best-of-breed SaaS products, with Katana at the center.

Since 2017, we've given businesses worldwide a live look at their inventory, uniting all the processes and tools they use with intuitive and easy-to-use cloud inventory software. Our customers range from mom-and-pop shops to multi-million-dollar businesses. To date, we raised over $51 million in funding from VC firms and angel investors who, like us, believe the inventory software space needs more love.

Besides great user experience and top-tier customer support, Katana is also industry-agnostic and scalable. The companies that grow with Katana come from almost any industry you can think of, and our software is designed to plug and play with any existing system of tools manufacturers use.

Who we’re looking for

Katana's Product Marketing team is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the success of our products in the market. This role involves overseeing product lifecycle management, from development to launch and maturity, strongly emphasising go-to-market (GTM) strategy and execution. You will develop and execute strategic product marketing initiatives to increase feature awareness, generate demand, and achieve product adoption and growth.

The ideal candidate is a high-performing individual contributor with a growth mindset, capable of acting as a peer coach and potentially managing a team of product marketers in the future.

As a member of the product marketing team, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders from product, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to develop and implement and adopt strategies that inspire and engage Katana's users.

Your typical week would include:

Go-to-Market Readiness:

  • Take B2B products to market in the SaaS industry.
  • Implement product-led GTM strategies, including positioning, messaging, use case creation, pricing and packaging, data analysis, buyer personas, and more.
  • Communicate and coordinate GTM strategy deliverables cross-functionally to ensure company alignment with plan targets and expectations.
  • Define GTM key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets to achieve revenue goals and support increased solution density and product adoption.
  • Build marketing and sales programs for ongoing revenue streams.
  • Lead the creation and coordination of integrated marketing plans to support successful product launches and adoption.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Research and Development, Sales, Marketing, Enablement, and Customer Success, to ensure successful product launches.
  • Work upstream with Product Management to influence the product roadmap and explore new opportunities to drive revenue and platform adoption.

Performance Measurement:

  • Analyze, monitor, and communicate business performance metrics and insights to key stakeholders regularly, including adoption metrics and ongoing progress toward development-to-launch (D2L) goals.
  • Track and analyze product marketing campaign performance using key metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

You’re the perfect fit if you

  • Strong understanding of product marketing principles, best practices, and frameworks. Proven ability to develop and execute product marketing strategies in B2B SaaS in a product-driven environment.
  • Experience with market research methodologies and the ability to analyze data to gain customer and market insights.
  • Have experience with product and behaviour analytics tools like Microsoft Clarity, FullStory, Hotjar or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to create compelling product marketing content in various formats.
  • Solid understanding of the product and its technical features to effectively communicate product value to the target audience.
  • Have strong communication and collaboration skills, using them to ensure alignment with your peers and partner with them on problem-solving.
  • Are team-oriented and value the group’s success over your personal achievements.
  • Are knowledgeable about industry trends and best practices and hungry for continuous experimentation and advancement.

What we offer

  • Opportunity to have a real impact at a global growth company and a chance to drive change in the inventory products space
  • Opportunity to work with an enthusiastic and talented global team
  • A competitive salary and employee stock option program (we want everybody to feel engaged and share the fruits of our collective effort)
  • Flexible and remote working options (we’re a results-driven team)
  • A team vibe to keep you smiling even on the rainiest days
  • Health & wellness package of your choice
