The Role

As our Head of Finance, you will be the cornerstone of our financial health and strategy, reporting directly to the CEO. You will oversee all aspects of financial management, from accounting operations and regulatory reporting to strategic financial planning and analysis. You will be building our finance function almost from scratch, creating the robust processes and controls necessary to support our rapid growth and ensure our long-term success. This role is critical to our mission, directly impacting our business compliance, financial stability, and investment strategy.

Day-to-day as Head of Finance you will:

• Own the full accounting cycle, managing all operations including Billing, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition in collaboration with our external accountants.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, preparing and presenting financial statements and key business metrics (including churn rates) with meaningful analysis and insights for all internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive financial planning and analysis (FP&A), building financial projections and pricing models, and collaborating with department heads to create and manage the company budget, including detailed workforce planning and headcount reconciliation.
• Develop and strengthen internal controls and lead cost control initiatives, documenting business processes and accounting policies to monitor and manage expenses effectively across the company.
• Manage all operational finance activities, including AP/AR, employee reimbursements, and payment processes, ensuring the right controls are in place.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, and coordinate with external advisors on audits, taxes, and payroll.
• Act as a key strategic partner to the leadership team, providing assessments of the company's financial health, forecasts, and maintaining contact with investors.
• Lead the preparation of board materials and presentations, and manage all financial aspects of fundraising processes, including due diligence for investment rounds (rondas de inversión).
• Collaborate across the business, working closely with Legal, People, and Commercial teams to create common processes, manage supplier relations, and support hiring efforts through budget and offer approvals.

• 7+ years of relevant experience heading a Finance function in a scale-up environment, preferably experience working on a Big4, consultancy, or a similar rigorous environment. Experience in a high-growth startup is a major plus.

• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes, including budgeting, financial closing, and reporting. Solid knowledge of IFRS is required.
• A data-driven and goal-oriented mindset, with a proven ability to measure success both quantitatively and qualitatively with maniacal attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly present financial results to all levels of management and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to manage a robust commercial funnel and multiple high-stakes projects against tight deadlines.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, capable of seeing the bigger picture and developing plans that align with organizational goals.
• Natural leadership and ownership, with the initiative to push boundaries, take risks, and drive positive organizational change.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
