Your role in this journey
Holidu is launching Croatia as a new country, and we are hiring the Country Lead - Croatia (all genders), the first commercial leader to build it from the ground up. This is not a standard sales leadership role.As the commercial lead you will own the go-to market strategy, first partners and revenue outcomes. You will also build and lead a dedicated Sales & Account Management team, as part of the Italy & Eastern Mediterranean organization.

Your responsibilities:
- Define the local go-to-market strategy and launch Holidu in Croatia
- Hire, onboard, and lead the entire Croatian Sales & Account Management team
- Personally drive early host acquisition, especially in the first 6 months
- Build trusted partnerships with hosts and key local stakeholders with a strong on-the-ground presence
- Own acquisition and revenue KPIs from day one
- Establish a high-performance, KPI-driven culture (forecasting, pipeline, coaching)
- Represent Croatia internally and feed market insights back to Product, Marketing, and Operations
- Ensure regulatory awareness to enable sustainable growth
What success looks like (12 months):
- Croatia is live with a strong, credible commercial presence
- A high-performing local team is in place, operating in line with Holidu’s values and ways of working: strong ownership, high standards, and collaborative, customer-first execution
- Acquisition and revenue growth are predictable and scalable
- You are the go-to leader for the Croatian market within Holidu

What we are looking for:
Must-have
- Strong commercial background (Sales / Account Management / Business Development) with hands-on leadership experience
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience leading teams and/or building teams from scratch
- Highly structured, KPI-driven approach (forecasting, pipeline, coaching)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; comfortable with senior stakeholders
- Croatian (equivalent to native level proficiency) and English (fluent/ C1)
Nice-to-have
- Experience launching or scaling new markets or regions
- Background in travel-tech, vacation rentals, marketplaces, SaaS, or scaleups
- Familiarity with the Croatian vacation rental ecosystem or regulation
- Existing local network (hosts, property managers, key stakeholders)
- CRM & BI tools experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, dashboards)

Practical details
- Location: Zagreb, Pula or Rijeka, hybrid after ramp-up
- Travel: Required frequently during ramp-up, and 30% of the time once the sales team is fully onboarded
