You'll join our Agentic Experience team — a dynamic, fast-moving unit that operates like a startup within Holidu. We're at the forefront of integrating AI and agentic technologies into our platform, exploring what's possible, and shipping features that genuinely change how our users interact with our products. Our Munich-based, international team thrives on autonomy, curiosity, and a bias toward action.

- Backend: Kotlin
- AI & Agentic: LLM integrations, Agentic AI frameworks, MCPs, AI coding assistants
- Automation: n8n pipelines for integrations
- Data Infrastructure: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, S3, Redshift
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, Git
- Monitoring & Analytics: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, Looker, Metabase, OpsGenie, AWS CloudWatch
Your role in this journey
- Design, build, and evolve backend services that power our AI and agentic capabilities.
- Work hands-on with LLMs, prompt engineering, and emerging agentic frameworks.
- Take ownership of features from ideation through release and monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Data Science, and other engineering teams to align on priorities and drive impact.
- Navigate a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment where priorities shift and adaptability is key.
- Proactively identify opportunities, propose solutions, and drive initiatives forward — we value builders who don't wait for permission.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the technical direction of our AI initiatives.
- Balance multiple workstreams and communicate effectively across departments.

Your backpack is filled with
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience in Java or Kotlin.
- Experience building and maintaining Java-based microservices in a cloud environment.
- Eager to explore new technologies and energized by continuous learning.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities — you see change as opportunity, not obstacle.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate proactively across teams.
- Self-driven attitude: you identify problems, propose solutions, and take ownership.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities without losing sight of what matters most.
Nice to have:
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering.
- Understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar agentic AI frameworks.
- Familiarity with workflow automation tools like n8n.
