Your future team

This trainee program will give you a great opportunity to work in different growth-related departments within the Holidu group (such as M&A, Marketing and Controlling). Your start and base department will be the M&A team and you will work in close collaboration with our VP M&A as well as with colleagues across Europe. This will provide you with real insights into how a scale-up operates. This will be the perfect first role out of university - it will help you learn about your real strengths and interests and to afterward kickstart a meaningful career in a fast-paced digital business environment.

Duration: The contract will be limited to 18 months. You will have the possibility to take on a permanent role in the company after the traineeship.

Your role in this journey

  • Independently conduct market analysis and screenings (create market maps, outline industry landscape by vertical, identify trends).
  • Identify and evaluate the most promising opportunities for M&A (including preparation of investment committee meeting materials).
  • Support in various due diligence processes and take responsibility for a wide variety of tasks and work streams across different stages of exciting M&A projects.
  • Work on the post-merger integration (PMI) of previous deals and act as a cross-department PMI project manager.
  • Help to define and scale internal M&A processes.
  • Join two other growth departments within the Holidu group (such as Financial Controlling, Product Management or other) for a rotation period of at least 3 months each and take the chance to support meaningful projects and tasks in these teams.
  • Drive company spirit and culture via events and team activities.

Your backpack is filled with

  • Very good Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably with a technical or business background.
  • Previous experiences in start-ups, consulting, or corporate finance are a plus.
  • Analytical skills with strong attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to solving problems.
  • Ability to effectively manage several tasks from different projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a wide range of colleagues and partners.
  • Motivation to quickly learn and take responsibility.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and ideally data analysis tools.
  • Near native German and excellent English skills.
