Business Unit Director - DMO (German speaking) (f/m/d)

Become part of Holidu Management and drive the success of our DMO business unit, which was created as a result of the biggest M&A deal in company history - the acquisition of Lohospo and TOMAS. You will be directly responsible for various teams (DMO Marketing, Customer Happiness, Host Service) and cross-functionally work with the central marketing, product and tech teams. In your role you will be a significant cornerstone in the growth of our  property base in the DACH market. Additionally, your objective is to form long lasting partnerships with new and existing DMOs. You will report directly to Daniel, our VP M&A. 

• Lead our DMO Business Unit, which consists of 2 separate companies (Tomas, Lohospo).

• Be directly responsible for your own teams, which include Onboarding and Customer Service, Host Account Management and Finance.

• Ensure a successful transformation of three independent vacation rental companies with different product offerings into one complementary portfolio product. In this process develop, align and coordinate the needed product developments to unlock value. 

• Steer and support your team in building long-lasting relationships with new and existing DMOs and manage key relationships yourself.

• Support in the communication strategy towards the various stakeholders and make sure they are aligned.

• Show a very high level of proactivity to solve foreseen and unforeseen topics. 

• A degree in management, economics, tourism, or related fields.

• A minimum of 10 years of work experience with a successful track record in sales, account management, or business development.

• Profound experience in leading high-caliber talent to world-class results. 

• Excellent stakeholder management skills.

• A strong analytical and data-driven mindset.

• A sales-minded personality with strong communication and negotiation skills. 

• An entrepreneurial and pragmatic way of thinking, service mindset and problem solving skills.

• A hungry but humble personality, setting ambitious targets while always trying to improve.

• A strong understanding of technology and product development processes is a plus.

• Experience in the tourism and vacation rental industry is a plus.

• Fluent English and near-native German skills.
