Your role in this journey

Hosts expect the best tool for their perfect vacation rental property, and the stakeholders have ambitious growth targets. It’s your team’s task to support both stakeholder groups with technical solutions and innovations.
  • Work closely with your engineers to develop high-quality solutions in cross-functional projects. This includes both leading the implementation of new features to support our growth, as well as ensuring all of the existing processes work correctly and efficiently.
  • Tackle team tasks by dedicating a meaningful portion of your time to active coding and tackling the team’s tasks.
  • Ensure our applications are stable and highly scalable, able to support the high growth trajectory of the company.
  • Focus on the growth of your team by offering continuous constructive feedback, supporting and encouraging them on their growth path, and by recruiting new engineers.
  • Work closely with product management, product design, and stakeholders to understand the business context and define the team's goals and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with peers, staff engineers, and other stakeholders to drive strategic technology decisions.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, autonomy, and inclusivity within your team and the entire department.

Your backpack is filled with

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven track record as a successful software engineer building backend and/or frontend applications.
  • Experience with Java/Kotlin/Spring. Additional experience with JavaScript/TypeScript/React is a plus.
  • Experience providing technical leadership (e.g., setting goals and priorities, architecture design, task planning, and code reviews).
  • Experience as an (informal) team leader, with the ability to build excellent team culture based on mutual respect, empathy, learning, and support for each other.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Able to deal with ambiguity and clarify through communication.
