Direct experience with residential painting, ideally on the sales or estimation side, but even in crew management or direct painting. Comfort with technology, you need to be able to juggle video calls plus our software and be able to maintain a flow of a sales conversation.

About this Job
You would be conducting remote phone or video estimates for homeowners looking to get their house painted. You would be using our in-house software that is able to instantly produce accurate prices without needing to do an in-home estimate. You would be representing several different small local painting businesses all over the country
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct phone and video call sales, representing multiple painting companies to potential residential customers.
- Take time to understand homeowner needs, goals, build trust and guide them through the painting process including logistics, basic materials and process questions and basic color guidance.
- When homeowners do not show for meetings as scheduled, work to get back in touch with homeowners and get them back on the schedule.
- Use Hoist’s proprietary technology to gather home and job details, calculate price, build and present estimates to customers in real time over the phone.
- Handle bid creation, sales and follow-ups to ensure a seamless sales process until bids are dispositioned.
- Collect down payments and handoff won jobs to business owners orders, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with Hoist’s end painter clients.
- Build relationships and rapport with both residential customers and partner painting companies, acting as the bridge between leads and completed jobs.
- Meet or exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and success of Hoist and its clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends and company services to effectively communicate benefits to customers.
- Support lead qualification activities when sales appointments are slow.
- Coordinate with internal Hoist stakeholders to improve our sales processes, internal tooling and technology.
- Keep management informed about progress against our target metrics. Any bottlenecks, suggested improvements or other related issues.
- Note: There is no “cold calling” or lead generation within the scope of this role, all leads are leads who actively expressed interest in getting a painting bid, and we have other team members carrying the bulk of the work of getting them qualified and scheduled into your calendar for a consultation call.
Ideal Schedule (32-40 hours per week)
- One Weekend day: (Saturdays or Sundays) 9am-2pm ET (For Sales Consultations)
- Multiple Week Days (Timing is flexible)
Compensation:
- $30/hr + 1% Commission on all jobs sold as a 1099 contractor (for now)
Note:
- Role has opportunity to transition to a full salary W2 employee role.
