Location
This role is open to candidates based in the United States, with a strong preference for those located near our San Mateo, CA or Provo, UT offices. While the position is remote, team members within approximately 50 miles of either office operate on a hybrid schedule (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in office).
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented HR Coordinator who operates with urgency, precision, and accountability. This role is built for someone energized by high-intensity environments—where priorities shift quickly, expectations are high, and execution matters.
You will be a critical driver of day-to-day People operations, ensuring flawless coordination across onboarding, employee experience, compliance, and internal processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within HRIS and personnel files, ensuring data integrity, organization, and compliance with company policies.
- Administer and monitor Form I-9 employment eligibility verifications, ensuring timely completion, accurate documentation, and adherence to federal regulations.
- Support new hire onboarding by preparing required documentation, coordinating system access setup, and scheduling orientation sessions.
- Partner with People Operations, IT, and hiring managers to deliver a seamless and welcoming first-day experience for new employees.
- Assist with offboarding processes, including documentation collection, system access updates, and coordination of exit procedures.
- Provide administrative support for employee engagement initiatives and related programs as needed.
- Proactively identify and implement workflow improvements, leveraging AI and other tools to streamline and automate backend processes.
- Manage sensitive employee information with the highest level of discretion, ensuring strict confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in HR/People operations or coordination in a start-up environment
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Compensation
GC AI's compensation package includes a competitive base salary benchmarked against real-time market data, as well as equity for all full-time roles. We also offer exceptional benefits, as well as commission plans for applicable roles. Our US-based compensation range for this role is $68,000 – $80,000. Actual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, location, market demand, and other factors.
These compensation bands are just the starting point. After someone joins and proves they’re and exceptional performer, we adjust quickly to ensure their compensation aligns with their impact.
