About the role

You will take ownership of Forto’s financial risk management, working on all topics related to credit, liquidity, interest and exchange rate risks. Being the key shaper of Forto’s global financial risk management setup, you work together with various teams and stakeholders across the organization and drive your own projects and initiatives from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial risk management efforts, by continuously assessing risks for business and transaction proposals, managing credit, liquidity and FX risks for global business and country entities, and recommending effective mitigation strategies. Create and help enforce internal policies and guidelines to manage risk across the organization.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial models to quantify and forecast key financial risks, including multi-currency cash flow, liquidity requirements, and customer credit exposures. Continuously monitor for risk KPI developments.

  • Manage Forto’s insurance landscape, supported by an insurance broker and another team member, you are responsible to ensure that Forto is sufficiently covered in all areas of the business.

  • Serve as one of the key contacts for internal stakeholders, credit insurers, and other external financial partners on all risk management matters.

  • Conduct company-wide risk training to foster a risk-aware culture.

  • Regularly brief leadership on critical cases and recent developments in the risk landscape.

  • Contribute to special projects focused on scaling our financial risk management framework, including the development and improvement of systems and processes.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years working experience in the area of financial risk management or similar analytical role at a fast growing company, bank or consultancy

  • Knowledge in finance, especially in financial risks and financial modeling using MS-Excel and other analytical software

  • Analytical and diligent way of working with a high level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize and overcome setbacks to deliver best results. SQL skills are a plus.

  • Ability to set strategic priorities and drive change across the company

  • Team player with hands-on mentality and effective communication skills to guarantee good stakeholder management

  • Fluent language proficiency in English, German is a plus
