👩💻 About The Role:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Flower, you will be at the forefront of the energy transformation. You will work on systems that manage energy flexibility, integrating cutting-edge software solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability. You will collaborate with a high-performing, cross-functional team and guide them on their path towards finding a solution. You will help ensure system reliability, security, and performance through best coding practices and architecture decisions.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions for our energy platform.
- Work with technologies such as RabbitMQ, REST APIs, AWS, Postgres, Python, and Go.
- Build and optimize high-performance backend services and data processing pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers from across the organisation.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and mentoring other engineers.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Who You Are:
- You have 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, working with backend development and distributed systems.
- Proficient in Python and/or Go, with experience in designing scalable APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ or other message brokers.
- Strong knowledge of databases, particularly PostgreSQL, experience of Databricks is a plus.
- Familiar with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and DevOps principles.
- Passionate about working on impactful projects that contribute to a sustainable future.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
📍 Location
Our beautiful office is located in the heart of Södermalm just a short walk from Slussen subway station. We encourage in-office collaboration but support a hybrid work model.
