Are you looking for an internship where you can practice and improve your analytical and project management skills? Do you want to make a real impact and support in making key strategic decisions in a fast-growing tech scale-up? We are looking for you! As a Planning & Performance Intern (m/f/d), you will join the Rider Operations team which is responsible for everything concerning our riders (employees delivering the orders to our customers). Projects are usually cross-functional, include multiple stakeholders, and have a quantitative focus. This internship will allow a high-potential student to take ownership of at least one larger project while managing stakeholders across departments. In addition, the intern will support the key people on the team with their daily tasks.
Examples of projects could include; performance analyses, forecasting, optimization analyses, or the development of new initiatives to optimise the efficiency of key processes.
Job Description
- Working with planning, data and operations teams on managing the creation, deployment and adherence of schedules for our workforce;
- Supporting day-to-day forecasting and planning operations;
- Finding opportunities for continuous improvement in both our planning operations and Last Mile efficiency;
- Conducting quantitative analysis on planning and performance topics to inform business decisions;
- Supporting initiatives to ensure our worked shifts are as financially efficient as possible while fully compliant with Dutch laws and regulations;
- Ad hoc data analysis projects.
Qualifications
- You are in the last phase of your Master’s degree in Economics, Management, Engineering, or other relevant business management/quantitative field;
- You are a self-starter, and an independent and structured worker who is prepared to take on a challenge and can drive change efficiently;
- You have a proven understanding of numbers;
- You are comfortable with data visualisation and modelling;
- You are comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets;
- Previous internship experience in consulting, high-growth start-up, or in a similar role is considered a plus;
- You are fully proficient in written and spoken English;
- You enjoy working in an entrepreneurial environment where you take ownership and drive your projects;
- Able to work from the Amsterdam office 4 days per week.
