We are currently seeking a highly skilled and Senior UX Lead to join our team at Fishbrain. As our Senior UX Lead, you will be at the center of what we do here at Fishbrain, focusing on the US market. You will play a pivotal role in evolving and shaping the user experience for our services. You will lead the product experience & design with the mission to grow the App usage and lifetime value by creating a lasting, relevant, and qualitative user experience.
As Senior UX Lead, you will oversee and guide the creation of our digital in the App experience. A significant part of the role is to ensure deep customer understanding and development of the Fishbrain operating model for user research together with other departments. The role involves a combination of discovery, user research, UI, and leadership on both strategic level, as well as hands-on operational work. You will ensure we meet our user needs and business objectives with a pragmatic, hands-on, and lead-by-example style.
This role will report to our Product Director.

Responsibilities:
Set our vision for UX and implement a strategy to reach it
Implement and maintain strong discovery & research-ops practices among the teams
Holistic ownership of the user experience, including iOS, Android, and Web
Drive improvement to Fishbrain’s operating model for how we do design, including discovery, user research, prototyping, and hi-fi design. And making sure best practices are documented.
Act as a stakeholder to the teams identifying pain points in the user journey.
Ensure that feedback loops with US-based users are integrated into the development cycle.
Maintain a strong understanding of the user needs, industry trends, and competitor landscape (focus on the US market).
Identify and execute on engagement drivers in the app across the whole customer journey.
Maintain and improve our design library and guidelines for keeping and developing a consistent design system with reusable components. (Today, we use Figma).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to align design decisions with overall product strategy.
Create prototypes, conduct usability testing to validate design concepts, and iterate based on user feedback.
Implement validated concepts into hi-fi designs and work with developers to get functionality shipped.
Profile
Strong understanding and experience in user design principles, significant experience in user research.
Deep understanding of app & customer service design principles.
Solid knowledge of current design trends, mobile app design guidelines, and best practices.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and collaborative mindset.
A passionate product and customer evangelist.
Structured and with attention to detail and quality.
Proactive and taking ownership of your area and results on senior level.
Excellent analytical as well as communication skills in English.
Experience:
7+ years of experience in UX/UI design, including 2+ years in a similar position or leadership role
Experience in delivering hands-on in all parts of the design process.
Solid experience working with analytics support tools like Amplitude, Tableau, or comparable
Proven track record of designing successful digital products or services across various platforms (web, iOS, Android).
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of enabling high-performing teams
Bonus but not required
High proficiency in Figma is meriting.
Experience from working with consumer apps is meriting.
