Junior Compliance Officer
Finom
About the Role
As a Junior Compliance Officer, you will work within the Compliance domain of the Legal & Compliance department, a second line of defence function providing independent oversight across the organisation. Our compliance scope covers non-client integrity risks and broader regulatory compliance: conflicts of interest, bribery and corruption, internal fraud, misconduct, regulatory integrity and a wide range of financial regulations applicable to our various regulated group entities.
This is a hands-on role with real impact. You’ll support the Head of Compliance in forming and executing the annual compliance plan, contribute to monitoring engagements, help maintain our policy framework, and gain direct exposure to regulatory interactions and board-level reporting. It’s ideal for someone eager to grow their compliance career in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
What you'll do
- Support the execution of risk-based compliance monitoring, including data collection, control testing, and evidence gathering.
- Draft working papers and findings reports; track and follow up on remediation actions from monitoring, audit, or regulatory engagements.
- Policy & regulatory change management.
- Assist with the annual policy review cycle: gap analysis, benchmarking, drafting revisions, and maintaining the compliance policy register.
- Monitor the regulatory radar for changes in applicable laws and supervisory guidance; prepare impact assessments.
- Assist in preparing launching new regulated financial products through product compliance assessments.
- Assist in preparing periodic compliance reports and KPI/KRI data for the Management Board, Supervisory Board, and Audit & Risk Committee.
- Help develop and deliver compliance training; track completion and effectiveness metrics.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Around 2 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, risk, or internal audit within financial services or fintech.
- Knowledge of, or demonstrated interest in, European financial regulatory frameworks such as PSD2, EMD2, MiFID, MiFIR, AIFMD, DORA and CRD.
- Proactive, detail-oriented attitude, and the ability to be comfortable managing multiple deliverables in a fast-moving environment.
