About the Role
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of data engineering, playing a pivotal part in our mission to transform data analytics and financial management through technology
Your focus will be on building the analytical data layer, extracting valuable insights, and contributing to the strategic goals of the Company and Data Analytics Department
Your work will directly impact the way small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Europe harness the power of data for financial decisions
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience as an ETL Developer or Data Engineer, hands-on experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Dataform, dbt, Apache Airflow)
- Strong proficiency in SQL (we use BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Databricks) and experience with Python
- Proven experience in BI tools development and implementing data visualization techniques (e.g., Power BI, Metabase)
- Knowledge of stream-processing platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively engaging with a wide range of stakeholder groups
- Proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills
- Start-up-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated
- English – full working proficiency; Russian – basic working proficiency
What You Will Be Doing
- Be the infrastructure owner, maintain and optimize ETL processes, ensuring data health and integrity
- Assemble datasets meeting functional and non-functional requirements, including real-time data gathering. Implement and support data model changes
- - Connect new internal & external sources to build a сomprehensive data model
- Support decision-making and improve data storytelling by selecting the right data visualizations and self-service tools
- Engage in cross-functional projects with the product team and data scientists, to translate complex technical concepts to customers across all domains
- Identify and implement system improvements for increased efficiency
Long Term Tasks
- Develop and improve the Data Warehouse (DWH)
- Introduce new tools to expand the level of self-service analytics
- Integrate and promote the use of machine learning (ML) analysis in managerial reporting
