Filed is building the first AI tax preparer trusted by America’s accounting firms.
This industry might seem boring, but it’s a $70B backbone of the economy that’s breaking under a talent shortage no one has solved. We’re fixing it. Fast.
In just 9 months, we’ve hit strong product-market fit, are generating insanely fast-growing, ridiculously sticky revenue, and are backed by top-tier investors. We’re not a tool—we’re the missing workforce firms have been sounding the alarm for. We’re building the future by expanding our already 30-person team with those who want to say “I was there when it all started.”
What we should tell you about the role
We’re looking for a Product & Brand Designer on a contract basis (approx. 20 hours per week) to shape how the world sees Filed. You’ll take our functional, already-loved product UI and make it beautiful, cohesive, and ready for prime time across our website, blog, and social channels.
This role blends product design precision with marketing creativity. You’ll be designing everything from polished UI visuals and illustrations to blog diagrams that make tax automation surprisingly understandable, and even a little fun.
The teammate we’re looking for
You’re fluent in turning complex workflows into clean, compelling visuals.
You have both a product design brain (clarity, UX logic) and a marketing eye (composition, hierarchy, storytelling).
You can work independently and ship quickly from loose input.
You know Figma inside out—components, variables, responsive design.
You communicate clearly in writing and work async without drama.
You’ve designed for SaaS or B2B products before.
You’re fluent in English.
Nice-to-haves:
Light motion skills (Lottie, After Effects, or Principle) to bring flows to life.
Familiarity with Webflow for quick visual iteration.
What you’ll be responsible for
Turning product UI into marketing-ready visuals for Filed’s website, blog, and social.
Creating modular illustration and diagram styles to explain workflows.
Refreshing and unifying visuals across all marketing touchpoints.
Delivering responsive, production-ready files for Webflow and other channels.
Operating with very little direction while maintaining on-brand quality.
Equal Opportunity
Filed is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every single qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway as we’re building a team of people with diverse strengths, experiences, and backgrounds.
