Job Description

Want to be part of transforming road freight – for good? Einride is showing the world a new way to move, based on the latest digital, electric and autonomous technologies. Through freight capacity as a service, we enable businesses around the world to accelerate towards their sustainability goals.

Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a US public road. Today our award-winning technology has been launched across 8 countries (and counting). Our clients are some of the world’s biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies. We are also operating Sweden’s largest truck dedicated public charging network and counting.

Your mission is to deploy and stabilize the compute platform for Einride's autonomous vehicles. You will be the bridge that ensures hardware, network, and the Autonomous Drive software stack work reliably together across all vehicle program

You will

  • Integrate and commission edge compute, actuation, and storage systems into vehicles, moving from bench/HIL to full-scale integration.
  • Define and manage the compute budget (CPU, GPU, memory, and storage) to ensure headroom for real-time processing and data logging.
  • Partner with sensor and network engineers to verify bandwidth, latency, and timing across 20+ sensor inputs.
  • Verify system behavior under thermal, EMC, vibration, and power conditions on both bench and vehicle.
  • Diagnose root causes for issues spanning hardware, drivers, kernel, and middleware together with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Author commissioning instructions, safety-case requirements, and verification specifications for all compute components.

We expect you to

  • Have 5+ years of experience integrating embedded compute platforms for autonomy, robotics, or ADAS.
  • Have strong hands-on experience with Linux on embedded targets: drivers, kernel issues, boot, and networking.
  • Be comfortable working in the lab and on the vehicle, including reading schematics and probing buses.
  • A track record of landing integrations end-to-end together with software teams.
  • Experience with thermal validation, performance sizing, and I/O planning for vehicle or industrial environments.
  • Experience evaluating and qualifying hardware suppliers and driving technical resolutions.

Nice to have

  • Experience with NVIDIA DRIVE platforms (Orin, Thor).
  • Knowledge of Automotive Ethernet, managed switches, and PTP.
  • Experience with ruggedized high-performance data loggers and recording systems.
  • Familiarity with containerization on embedded systems and OTA constraints.

This is a full-time position based anywhere in Gothenburg. You will be part of a truly diverse, high performing team with a common passion for sustainability and making things happen in an innovative way. We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible since selection and interviews are held continually.
