Senior Product Manager
Einride
Product
Stockholm, Sweden
Job Description
Want to be part of transforming road freight – for good? Einride is showing the world a new way to move, based on the latest digital, electric and autonomous technologies. Through freight capacity as a service, we enable businesses around the world to accelerate towards their sustainability goals.
Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a US public road. Today our award-winning technology has been launched across 8 countries (and counting). Our clients are some of the world’s biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies. We are also operating Sweden’s largest truck dedicated public charging network and counting.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to further define how Saga operates as a platform. As we continue to modernize Saga’s architecture, the question of how external systems, developers, operators, and increasingly AI agents interact with Saga is becoming one of our most strategically important product challenges.
In this role, you will own Saga’s non-portal (UI) interfaces: API, CLI, MCP, WebMCP, and LLM-native surfaces. You will think deeply about what it means for Saga to be a platform that other products, workflows, and AI agents can build on top of – and you will set the product direction for how those interfaces are designed, governed, and evolved. This includes owning our approach to extensibility: when and how the platform can be extended, how customer and partner-specific variants are managed, and what guardrails ensure platform coherence as the product scales. You will also actively participate in the product & technology workstream around AI development and rollout within the Saga platform and wider business.
What you’ll do:
- Own Saga’s platform interface roadmap: Define how Saga exposes its capabilities beyond the portal – setting the product direction for API, CLI, MCP, and LLM-native interfaces. Ensure these are designed for discoverability, reliability, and developer experience.
- Treat agents as a first-class persona: As AI agents become active users of Saga – querying data, triggering actions, and orchestrating across freight operations – define what it means for Saga to be agent-ready (semantic interfaces, action boundaries, trust and access models, and how Saga presents itself to LLM-based systems).
- Drive integrations strategy and partner interface design: work directly with architecture to define how Saga integrates with third-party systems and partners, including Transport Management Systems (TMS), Fleet Management Systems, ERPs, and AI orchestration tools – defining integration patterns, API governance, and the partner developer experience.
- Collaborate closely with engineering on platform architecture: work alongside senior engineering, data and architecture team members to make informed tradeoffs between flexibility, security, and maintainability in order to translate platform strategy into actionable technical direction.
- Lead the product direction on Saga’s access control and data segmentation model, including multi-tenant data isolation and resource visibility, and defining the distinction between functional access and data visibility.
- Accelerate AI adoption: Act as a key resource on AI in the product development lifecycle, identifying where AI can accelerate discovery, design, prototyping, and delivery, and helping other PMs build these practices into their day-to-day work.
What we’re looking for:
- Significant experience as a senior product manager, with ownership of platform, developer-facing, API, or integration products. You have built or managed product surfaces that other products or systems build on top of, and you care about things like versioning, documentation, interface contracts, and what makes third-party integrations scalable.
- Familiarity with the emerging AI agent ecosystem: you understand concepts like MCP, LLM tool-calling, and agent-based architectures, and you are excited about what it means for an electric and autonomous freight platform to be natively accessible to AI agents.
- Strong technical literacy: able to engage deeply with engineering teams on architecture decisions, interface contracts, access control models, and extensibility tradeoffs – without needing to write the code yourself.
- A proven track record of influencing product strategy across a broader team; you have been a centre of expertise and a multiplier for others, not just an individual contributor. The products you manage have delivered tangible and demonstrable business results.
- Exceptional communication skills: able to translate between deep technical concepts and strategic product direction for both engineering and executive audiences.
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision making. Experience applying AI tools in product workflows, or a strong interest in building these practices, is highly valued.
- Passionate about the intersection of freight, infrastructure, and AI – you are energised by a future where AI agents actively participate in moving goods around the planet.
This position is preferably based in Stockholm or Gothenburg. We recommend you submit your application as soon as possible as selection and interviews are held continually.
