Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a US public road. Today our award-winning technology has been launched across 8 countries (and counting). Our clients are some of the world’s biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies. We are also operating Sweden’s largest truck dedicated public charging network and counting.

As the Pilot Production and Site Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of 10 assembly technicians and prototype engineers and 3 manufacturing engineers. Your mission is to bridge the gap between R&D and production by owning the build process for our cutting-edge autonomous trucks and their derivatives. This role is crucial, sitting right between building complex prototypes and developing and planning scalable production systems.

You will:

• Lead the Build: Direct and mentor a team of 10 experts, overseeing the assembly of autonomous trucks and ensuring high quality from prototype to pre-series.
• Scale the Process: Develop and document robust manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality standards that allow us to scale quickly and efficiently.
• Connect the Dots: Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to turn innovative designs into physical, reliable products.
• Own your house: Act as site manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day facility operations, a safe work environment, and the infrastructure needed to support a high-performing production team.
• North America Expansion: Play a key role in the near-future planning and operational build-up of our new production facility in North America. This is your chance to shape our global footprint!

We expect you to have:

• Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering and/or prototype vehicle builds, ideally within the automotive industry (EV/Autonomous experience is a huge plus).
• Bsc. or Msc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field experience. High voltage safety education preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of proven leadership experience managing technical or production teams.
• Demonstrated experience with complex projects, particularly setting up or scaling new manufacturing lines or facilities.
• The ability to navigate the complexity of both low-volume prototyping and the demands of production preparation.
