The Tech Operations team is responsible for deploying and maintaining Einride’s autonomous electric truck solution at client sites. Putting theory into practice, they get the wheels of change spinning. As a Deployment Engineer, you'll be joining a top talent team of ambitious, creative, kind-hearted people who challenge conventional thinking, think big, and aim for zero.
Your mission when joining as Deployment Engineer is to ensure that our complex autonomous electric truck solution gets successfully installed and delivers on their promise of efficiency, safety, and reliability in the dynamic, unpredictable environments of public roads and customer sites. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction, the speed of product iteration, and the overall scalability of an autonomous solution.
You will:
- Analyze & Deploy: Based on data collection from customer sites, simulate, optimize and ensure smooth, safe and efficient deployments.
- Maintain & Troubleshoot: Second-line technical support and troubleshooting, making sure that issues are addressed and resolved accordingly.
- Improve & Scale: Analyze, optimize, and provide critical feedback to engineering and operations teams to ensure continued product improvements.
We expect you to have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Automatic Control or similar.
- Prior experience as a software or simulation engineer within the automotive space; working with an Autonomous Drive System (ADS) platform or other relevant environment is a plus.
- General wide software knowledge, network engineering, simulations, technical support and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Flexible schedule preferred; travel to deployment and customer sites will be a routine part of this role (estimate: 25%).
- Safety focused mindset, flexibility & clear communication are key skills for this role.

This is a full-time position based in Austin, Texas, with occasional travel for customer and other stakeholder visits.
