In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a US public road. Today our award-winning technology has been launched across 8 countries (and counting). Our clients are some of the world’s biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies.
We are looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer to join one of our autonomous vehicle platform teams, consisting of ambitious, humble engineers working on our internal vehicle OS and firmware platform.
What you'll do:
- Develop our in-house vehicle Yocto-based operating system, including surrounding IoT infrastructure, e.g. OTA updates, configuration and secret management.
- Deploy infrastructure as code to automate deployments and work with related CI/CD flows.
- Ensure our vehicles have reliable connection to our cloud services (using 5G, VPN, cloud VPCs etc).
What we're looking for:
- You have a breadth of experience in embedded Linux development, both with the kernel and with board support and drivers.
- Experience with the Yocto build system.
- You are used to driving architectural change in your domain where needed.
- You are driven, self-directed, and want to work in a high-paced start-up environment.
Ideally you also bring:
- Regular user of Linux/Unix operating systems networking components and tools.
- Knowledge of advanced networking concepts like VPNs, VLANs, cloud VPCs.
- Experience with Google Cloud and understanding of cloud environments.
- Experience with GPUs, drivers and how it integrates with containers.
- Experience writing backend services and APIs in Golang.
